This charming B&B was the perfect getaway for us. We were warmly greeted by our host and her huskies, and our room was lovely with all the amenities. Breakfast was wonderful, and treats were plentiful. Great location, close to Roma Cafe and a lovely walk along streets with gorgeous brick homes on the way to the Western Promenade.

My wife and I like to get away for the holiday season to decompress and relax, and the chawick bed and breakfast was the perfect place to do so.The rooms are cozy and comfy making it a great space to sit and read a book. The common room was warm and welcoming with board games and drinks available. The cherry on top tho is how kind the hosts are. Erin the owner / hostess makes an amazing breakfast ranging from sweet creations to wonderful savory meals. This is our second time staying with them and we look forward to staying again.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The inn keepers, their daughter, as well as the three dogs were so welcoming and took the time to chat with us. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfasts served to us were the best meals of my weekend. I enjoyed the sitting room complete with the Christmas decorations. There were games available to use, a puzzle to do, and comfortable places to sit. We enjoyed using this place and even purchased a bottle of wine to enjoy by the fire. I can't wait to come back!

My partner and I had a great stay at the Chadwick late October for 3 nights. We stayed in the Chamberlain room which was spacious with a private bathroom just down the hall which was very modern. The Inn had nice common areas and was nice to chat to fellow guests over breakfast. Erin was an exceptional host, preparing delicious breakfasts every morning and providing great recommendations and just general great chats each day. Erin and Zack’s 3 Huskies were also an added bonus! A great stay for exploring Portland.

We stayed in the Baxter room and it was a wonderful experience. The bedroom was very cozy and the private bathroom was clean and updated. Both the room and the bathroom are in a hallway away from other rooms, which was a perfect set up for privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The parking lot is also set up very well for all visitors to have a spot and enter/exit easily. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the Portland area.

The Chadwick is amazing !! We visited Maine for the first time this October for our wedding anniversary celebration. We stayed here for two nights before leaving to Bar Harbor and wished we had booked a full week! There is so much to see in Portland and this place truly feels like home away from home. The sweet pups really add to the experience. Huge shout out to Erin for making our trip special !

Had a wonderful two night stay at The Chadwick Bed & Breakfast. The self in check-in process was very smooth and convenient. The Bed & Breakfast is located a convenient 5-7 minute drive from most everything in the touristy downtown portion of Portland. The innkeepers (and owners) have really made it feel like a home away from home. Also noteworthy, Erin made us a fantastic breakfast both mornings (day 2 we had lemon ricotta fritters with a vanilla bean curd and maple syrup, fruit with a chamomile simple syrup...YUM). Next time we make it up to Portland, we would definitely stay at The Chadwick again.

Innkeeper Erin was wonderful. Very helpful and flexible. Breakfast was incredible. Beds - super comfortable. Location was fantastic. Street was quiet and each day we just walked into downtown to do whatever we wanted including the museum of art, Merrill Auditorium, Maine Historical Association, and great restaurants.Lots of amenities you don't always see including a good selection of snacks if you wanted and you could always make French Press Coffee if you needed a fix outside of breakfast.

We had the greatest time staying at the Chadwick! The common area was stocked with snacks (including homemade cookies!) drinks, board games, and a cozy fireplace. Our room was cozy and full of natural light, with an electric fireplace (which was perfect for a February trip!). Erin was an amazing host - the highlight of our trip was her breakfast! The B&B is located in a great spot, and her two pups were the perfect welcome committee ? Have already recommended this place to my friends and family. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend at The Chadwick and plan to return at our next opportunity when visiting Portland. We could not have found a more charming and comfortable B&B. We had the Baxter room with a private bath across the hall. Truly lovely — quiet and comfortable. The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom spacious and modern. Lots of nice touches throughout the house from chocolates in the room to a nightlight in the bathroom, cozy robes, snacks and beverages available any time, a selection of games in the living room and a nice corner area to read, chat, or just relax in quiet comfort.Erin is an outstanding chef and made the most delicious breakfasts. We would normally explore new places for breakfast but didn’t want to miss the next masterpiece she was serving up. YUM doesn’t come close to capturing the amazing selections we were served. Truly tough to come home and settle for cereal or yogurt.Another high point was the goodwill ambassadors, Luna and Seekoo. Two beautiful, friendly Siberian huskies who love getting pets and treats. They truly stole our hearts. If you’re looking for a comfortable, friendly, well-located place to stay in Portland, this is the place. We will most assuredly be visiting again. Thank you to Erin and family for the care to ensure a positive experience.

If I could just say “stay here” and leave it at that, I would, because part of the charm of the Chadwick is how often I was surprised by the thoughtfulness of the entire experience. A review feels like a spoiler, but I’ll share some insight on this magnificent B&B to make your decision of where to stay easy. From plentiful snacks, delicious breakfast (one of the key reasons I chose the Chadwick was all the photos of food), adorable dogs that await your arrival in the kitchen, and an absolutely marvelous host named Erin, the stay here was nothing short of phenomenal. Also, I’ll never forgive this place for making me miss their bed more than my own. The bed was easily the most comfortable bed I’ve been in other than one I slept in while visiting Switzerland 10 years ago.In short: stay here.
