We came during off season which meant nothing was open. The room was quaint. It had a queen size bed, gas fireplace/heater, small couch, mini fridge, and coffee machine. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub/shower with 2 sinks (one was outside the bathroom). There was a community microwave in the hall outside our room. The island has a beautiful 4 mile long scenic walk along the beach. The restaurant attached to the inn Was closed. The grocery store down the road was open from 8am-6pm but stopped making pizza at 5:15pm. The restaurant next to it was open from 3-8 but you need to make a reservation for dinner because it's very small and you might not get a table. The Inn Staff were very responsive to texts and got us some disposable plates and silverware when we asked for it. They also let us have a late check out which we really appreciated! The view from our room would have been nice if the desk chairs were taller or the railing was lower. Your eye level was a wooden rail and some power lines. Overall the island was lovely and easy to get to but I wouldn't come during off season and I definitely wouldn't pay more than we did for the space. If the Inn was actually more of a Bed and Breakfast then I'd give them more money!

We came here after Christmas. Weather was grey but in the hotel was warm and cosy. Coffee, microwave, fridge, all was great. We found a store very close to hotel ( we walked). We had a lovely evening and day here.

Convenient location to the ferry landing for lunch/drinks/dinner. The prices are a bit overpriced. Lobster roll $45 when other restaurants are charging $25-$30. Would go for drinks..not a meal.

The best of the best. Lovely group of people even when the Island isn't peak hours. We got married at the Inn but cannot stay away from it. The best views of the harbor on a fall day. Easy going to get around and everyone there took care of our needs. We had our child with us and they helped accommodate what we needed. Highly recommend staying whenever you can,

What a great place! Inn location was right up the street from the ferry and we could walk to restaurants. Our room was really nice (comfy bed and couch), though I'd suggest adding a full-length mirror and a hand-towel rod for the bathroom. The thermostat also didn't appear to be working, though the gas fireplace kept things nice and warm. Restaurant staff were so friendly and the food was very good. We'd stay there again, though you might want to ask if there's a wedding scheduled during your stay. Our room was right above the reception room, so we got to enjoy the band until they were required to end things at 10:15 pm (so people could catch the last ferry). Overall, very enjoyable.

We had a great room. Probably the best in the hotel. It was huge, and had a great balcony to overlook the area. We enjoyed a glass of wine while on the balcony. The TV could be bigger since it was so far away from the bed, but having double sinks made it very nice. If staying on the island you need to plan ahead for the ferry. Be at least 30 minutes ahead of departure, coming and going. An hour to be safe. It appeared the ferry was completely full of vehicles each time I saw it come and goRooms: Very large and clean.

This hotel was very nice. I think we had the nicest room in the hotel. It was huge. Couple sinks in the bathroom, and our room overlooked the dock and business district. The TV could be bigger, but it was a very nice room. The restaurant was closed the day we were there, but we found a place nearby that worked for us. Convenience is fantastic. If staying on the island, make sure you plan your trip around getting on the ferry. Need to be in line at least 30-45 minutes before the ferry leaves, otherwise you might be killing time for a couple hours. It appears the ferry is always completely full with autos. The hotel is very nice.

We were very disappointed in our stay last weekend. We splurged on a night out n tge Island for $430.00 for less than 24hours which we were happily pay but our room had I believe a 13 inch tv on the wall that was so far from the bed we couldn’t even see! Then the room said jacuzzi tub- well it’s not exactly a jacuzzi tub in my mind but the fact of the matter it didn’t even work was the real bust! The pub was closed with no explanation and our drink in the bar was $19.00/each.We were really disappointed in the inn, its appearance, but especially the no food was available. This mini getaway was more stress than it was worth.

Great experience! Easy walk from the ferry dock, lovely inn, loved our room, which had a balcony and chairs looking out across the harbor. Westward facing, so we had beautiful sunsets. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good shower. Erin, our innkeeper, was friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that she could be hard to find. The restaurant was closed, as the off season hours are limited. All in all, an excellent inn and experience.

Peaks Island is a great spot for a walk, a quiet dinner, and there’s great views from most of the venues. We’ve been staying at the Inn for almost 10 years for a night or two once a year. The Inn is a comfortable place and the staff has always been very friendly and accommodating and in the times we’ve stayed there it’s never been anything but a great experience.

I can't say enough good things about The Inn On Peaks! Favorite hotel and restaurant in Portland. Rooms are superb, the staff is outstanding, and the food and beverages at the restaurant are top notch. The location feels like a special get-away to leave the mainland.

The Inn at Peak’s island is a true gem! Easily reached from Portland with award winning views, great food, drink and a staff with a relaxed island vibe. The rooms are clean, well appointed and surprisingly reasonably priced, especially compared to Portland.

We had lunch and drinks at the restaurant during a day trip to Peaks Island. There were 6 of us and our server, Linda, was fantastic! The food was good and it was a great day on the Island!

My one-night stay here was wonderful. The suite was huge with a balcony facing the bay. Great location close to all. Arrived on a rainy morning and since the room was ready, I was able to check in early, dry out, and rest up before exploring the island in the sunny afternoon. Treated so well, I felt like family.Rooms: Spacious and clean with an excellent view.Nearby activities: Ferry landing, restaurants, tours, bike rental, beach, museums, and art galleries are all walkable from here.Safety: Slept with my door open with the Bay breezes lulling me to sleepWalkability: Close to allFood & drinks: Right downstairs

This was our second visit to the Inn on Peaks Island and we had a wonderful time. The staff goes over and above to make you feel welcomed and accommodate your requests. We brought our own bikes and the staff ensured we had a place to lock them up and keep them dry when it rained. The location can't be beat - walking distance to the ferry and dining. The room was spacious and very clean - lots of comfy, soft towels, a deck to watch the sunset, coffee maker. The one thing that caused me to give 4 stars is the carpet is getting old and worn out and I would suggest adding a small table on the deck for wine glasses when watching the sunset and goings on in town. We will be back!
