I used to love this place, always clean, a little pricey, definitely safe, and convenient, but after today I will not be coming here again. I used one of their larger washers for my comforter and other blankets, right at its final spin cycle the washer stopped working and gave me an error message. I called the help number and was told to give it 15 to 20 minutes to restart. After about 25 minutes I got a call back and was told that help was on the way. They showed up and finally got the washer unlocked only to find my items completely soaked. The guy who came to help had taken my laundry card and told me that he added the 15 dollars that I had used on the broken machine (which mind you it didn’t have a ‘do not use; machine broken’ sign on it or anything) then he was gone in a flash. I ended up having to used two of the smaller washer which is annoying and the extra 15 dollars wasn’t going to cover the fee but I already had 20 dollars on the card so I’d have enough to cover the extra fee and the dryer. I go to pay for the washers and there was no refund. So not only did I waste most of my morning and half of my afternoon on a load of laundry that should have only taken me and hour and half to get done, but I was also lied to. So basically I robbed of money & time, and on top of all that was lied to straight to my face. So yeah don’t wash your clothes here. Waste of time and money. And just as was I finishing typing this another girl just got her money stolen by another broken machine. Pls do better.

The machines use ice cold water only, regardless of the setting selected. Water has to be at least 60 degrees for laundry soap to activate. Portland’s ~40 degree tap water is not warm enough to activate the soap, so the clothes come out just as dirty as they went in. It also isn’t posted anywhere that there isn’t actually a warm/hot water setting. Machines are absurdly expensive- they start at $4.75 for a machine that doesn’t even fit a set of sheets. Machines require purchasing a “laundry card” for $1 and reloading it with cash or credit ($1 fee per reload. No quarters accepted). Washing machines all end in an odd amount and dryers all require at least $1 at a time, making it nearly impossible to actually use all of the money on the card. No attendant or refund available. The dryers also left some kind of sticky residue on our clothing.Overall, the we left with clothing that was dirtier than it was when we arrived. Incredibly overpriced for a facility with no warm water, no bathroom, no staff and inadequate maintenance of the machines.

The machines are almost 7 bucks from me and also a random lady that came in after me. Called them and gave them my card number but they never got back to me. Kinda sucks that’s like a whole load and I have to add more money which equals another surcharge and a minimum of ten bucks which I didn’t really need bc I just wanted to fry my clothes. I spent 40 bucks all together which seems like a lot for a few loads when other places usually cost like 25

I went 30 minutes before opening this morning. They must have seen us because they turned the lights on and unlocked the doors. Even though there are no actual ppl there I love it. Going there is part of my routine now. I've tried two others in the area but I like was tub

Clean and bright, machines mostly in working order but there are no employees here for help/troubleshooting… and whoa are these machines expensive. I like the card system because I didn’t have to hassle with cash or quarters but ouch, our family of four needs a more affordable option. I’ll keep looking around.

Can't use quarters - you have to purchase a rechargable "laundry card" for $2. Minimum amount to add to the card at a time is $10. Machines are super expensive - the tiniest washer starts at $4.75 a load. This place used to be my go to but I'm definitely never coming back.

No cash or app payment available. I have older credit cards without touch to pay, thanks for being inconsiderate.

Thank you Wash Tub II on Forest Avenue, right next to State Farm Insurance Agent who was berating towards me, the day or two after the sprinkler head malfunction in my apartment on 37 casco street. The laundry machines are efficient and clean. The only problem I have is that the pre-paid cards have no indirect (e-commerce) avenue to check for the balance on the cards, in order I can establish a budget for my basic necessities.

I did my laundry here before I had my burst appendix and had to have my good for nothing deadbeat son in law thomas start doing it for me, which was a massive hit to my ego all things considered. The day I no longer have to see that ungrateful snotty kid will be the best day of my life. This place brings back so many good memories-- memories that do not involve looking at that damn manchild every time I run out of clean underwear. Gee whillikers!
