West Marine Portland is the leading marine supply store of Southern Maine and Casco Bay, carrying a wide range of fishing equipment, sailing gear, and boating supplies. The store is very organized and right off the interstate for convenience. Staff are polite, very attentive, very friendly, very knowledgeable, and deliver excellent service. They are helpful in assisting customers, verifying inventory, and locating parts. They offer fair and friendly assistance with items ordered online or held for pickup. The store is trusted by watersport enthusiasts to keep them outfitted all year round. However, some note that the prices are high compared to internet competition and other retailers. Despite this, many customers find the excellent customer service worth a special trip and state they will definitely be returning.
West Marine is more expensive than many other places where you can buy the exact same boating items. In an emergency, I would go to West Marine. If I had time, I would go to Hamilton Marine or some other boating store.

My aunt recommended this store to get something to clean the mold off the canvas of a camper I just bought, store was clean, well organized, staff were friendly and super helpful in getting the product I needed, highly recommend!
