“I stayed at this hotel on an overnight trip (flew in from Boston). The town is very small and obviously not very active, however, everyone is very kind. I felt welcomed and appreciated at the airport, but especially at this hotel. The gentleman at the front desk was expecting me - since the flight was arriving late at night - I assume I was the last guest to check in. The rooms were large and clean and I'd recommend the property to anyone traveling to/through the area.”

“The cleanliness and space of the room was excellent. Thank you for the extra blanket and pillows. Such an excellent added touch. Will definitely stay there again”

“This is a welcome alternative to the years and years of theft and gouging along with rate manipulation that the Hampton Inn Presque Isle has been bestowing upon the travelers throughout Aroostook county. One thing to keep in mind these hotels are not just hosting ‘down’ staters like myself and out of staters, it’s also a lifeline for those in the county who need to travel for either work or even healthcare.

I’ve stayed here twice and, yes, it’s basic. But it is clean, well maintained/freshly renovated, and there’s a huge bonus with a decent bar for dinner with delectable poutine for this side of the border. I found it to be a better experience than the brewery across the street haha.

I am not tickled about there primarily only being first floor rooms, but to save over $125/night from the thievery in Presque Isle while still maintaining comfort, it’s greatly worth it.

I don’t eat breakfast but the menu looked great for their restaurant. I also greatly appreciate the espresso machine in the lobby along with a water bottle fill station.

My first stay was in the middle of the summer and my second was towards the end of September. My first stay was fairly quiet however my second one unfortunately there was a domestic argument nonviolent issue in the room across from me that was quite loud. The staff got it taken care of and Scott the owner/manager even took the time to follow up with me and apologize which shows the refreshing caring attitude that many hotels just don’t have these days.

There’s an issue with the bathroom shower doors, they’re a Euro style design however put inside a small American shower stall and I’m happy to see responses from Scott in other reviews that it will be addressed soon. Shame though because they’re generally better for the environment than curtains and cleaner than fixed glass doors however it’s just too tight of a space and kind of ahead of its time.

I probably won’t use this hotel for over two nights due to the, primarily, first floor rooms, location in Caribou towards the northern part of my work, but to be honest I’m looking forward to my next stay there in a couple of weeks for a quick night to visit clients and grabbing some poutine, burger, and a beer for dinner.”
