“The Farmer’s Daughter is my favorite grocery store. My list of reasons is long, but most importantly, I can shop here without questioning whether I’m making healthy choices. The owners have already done the legwork and stock only the best. The smell of freshly baked bread and cookies when you walk through the door immediately sets the tone for what you’re truly going to buy. The shelves are filled with local and organic staples—rice, pasta, soup, condiments, and more—while the refrigerators are stocked with artisan drinks, farm-fresh eggs, raw milk, and local meats and cheeses. Their wide selection of organic produce is my favorite: the basics, as well as broccolini, purple cauliflower, golden beets, and more. I love shopping in a place where I don’t have to check the ingredients and where I’m gently encouraged to try something new.”
