Good selection for small grocery store, but sticker shock! Prices very high. Good for quick stop.

It is a shame to see a fine institution go down the tubes. The help doesn’t seem to care, and the store just stays dirty. But that usually happens when you are the only show in town.

Went to Rangley on a girls' weekend! Stopped by to get groceries, found prices expensive, and items needed that weren't there! But thank God they have this place! It's the only grocery store in town. Otherwise, I would have to go to Farmington.

The 2 stars are for the departments I was looking for items- milk, frozen fruit, yogurt, canned beans. They had most of what I wanted- not great but it was adequate.
The pharmacy type section (toiletries, etc) was great.
The produce was TERRIBLE. Rotten, slimy boxed greens, overripe fruit, brown bruised cauliflower. Worst produce department I’ve ever seen- on top of that it was much, much more expensive than Hannaford. This is the only supermarket in town so stop for what fruits/veggies you need before you get here and put it in a cooler, otherwise you’ll pay top dollar for rotten items.

We drove into Rangeley for the Eclipse, and predictably the whole town was swamped. We decided to see if we could park at the grocery store, and shockingly, we could! They had people out in the parking lot directly traffic, and even though the lot was clearly way over capacity, it ended up being very easy to park. We bought stuff for lunch here, and it was astounding how well-prepared they were to handle the insane amount of traffic; the store was still neat and clean, the shelves were well-stocked and tidy, and even the bathrooms were in pretty good shape. I've seen local grocery stores in much worse condition on a casual weekend afternoon; the staff at this IGA must be incredible.Ultimately, this IGA ended up being the perfect place for us to view the eclipse, in addition to just being a nice place to buy some food and drinks. Thanks, IGA!

Forget a decent vegetable. They are usually very tired when they are put on the shelves. Everything is way over priced- $7 bag of shredded cheese vs 4$ at Hannaford. It is hard for locals (like myself) to see the point in patronizing this store unless it's for an urgent need. Otherwise, we drive one hour away to Hannaford. Even in the check out line at Hannaford I have met many Rangeley residents who have started the pilgramage for the same reason. Unfortunate. Rangeley is remote but it's not Iqaluit, Canada. We should be able to get more than a wilted cucumber or a very old turnip. This is all since new ownership.
