“Wonderful variety of olive oil soaps. I have to get some there for my mother to give as Christmas gifts every year. You can watch as they are making them right behind the counter. So many lovely varieties, they add and change them up occasionally. I like their lemon based soap scents and the green tea seems especially nice for a new scent. They also have many locally made things such as linens, nail brushes, soap holders and more that you can pick up to compliment your soap purchase.”

“This is an absolutely beautiful gift shop. There are so many wonderful things to choose from. One of the staff members helped me choose great gifts, for a Yankee swap event at work. I told the lovely staff member that I need to ship the gift items to Virginia. Her and another kind associate boxed the items I purchased and made sure they packed them, to avoid any possible damage. The ladies were such a joy to interact with. I told them I relocated back to Maine from Virginia. I plan to frequent Seagull Cottage for great gift ideas. I had such a nice experience. Thank you so much.”

“I was referred by someone to come here and talk to Bob (the owner) about something in particular I've been looking for. He didn't have the item, but it's not easy to find and my expectations on that were very low. A friendly customer who Bob was helping before me overheard and they both offered me great advice for continuing the hunt for my treasure. I had a look around the shop, and found a beautiful (fragile) trinket I decided to purchase. Bob took extra special care in wrapping my item to make sure it would get home in one piece. It was clear he cared, even though my purchase only cost $5. (A steal). When I went out to my car, Bob had followed to take down the "open" flag and saw that I had my dog with me. He called out "next time you come please bring your dog in with you!" And that just made my day.Customer service is everything, and this place is as good as is gets. I am putting this on my "must visit" list for my future returns to coastal Maine.”
