I love this little gift shop! It’s full of local made items from different artists, and you’ll notice that each section has “About the Artist” cards describing the inspiration behind the art or product. A portion of each purchase also goes back to supporting local artists in Maine.
Archipelago also has a selection of all-natural local cosmetics, cleansers, and lotions. I picked up a few items to test and I’ve loved them so far!

Definitely worth a stop when in downtown Rockland. The store is bright and cheery with something for everyone. Wonderful paintings, cards, souvenirs, etc. Much of the inventory is unique in that it would not be found elsewhere. Island Institute members are entitled to a 10% discount on merchandise.

While we have visited Archipelago many times, we always like to visit because the inventory constantly evolves and new things appear that are of interest. The range of pottery, wood items, scarves, art and wide range of Maine crafts are on display in a bright and cheerful shop.
