horrible workplace. business owners are family but are always fighting and arguing, can't stand to stay professional for even 2 min, making other people uncomfortable. very snappy and passive aggressive people. Rude to employees as well as customers.

Excellent experience in this charming shop, we arrived before they were officially open and they allowed us to come in. We left with amazing, "killer" chocolate treats!!! The samples were to die for!! This shop is so spotless, you can see into thekitchen where the treats are made. This is truly the chocolate shop of my dreams!

We visited this chocolate factory, the flavors were very good, lots of options to try, and the service was excellent.

The aroma of chocolate is evident before entering the small shop and manufacturing space! It is wonderful and so are all their products. Enjoy the joy of chocolate!

1st time visitor - Am a local who enjoys Bixby chocolate and always wanted to stop by and check it out.Quiet little factory/office/storefront on the wavefront in Rockland...just past the Coast Guard facility.Lots of items you don't normally see like coffee and hot chocolate. Great selection of their offerings along with gift items and Maine themed stuff.I found it perfect for loading up on stocking stuffers.I'll be back and will bring friends!

We saw a sign when we got off our cruise ship that said something about free chocolate samples. I am always up for free chocolate. We found our way to Bixby&Co. This was well worth the walk. We looked around the shop for a bit. The shop not only sells chocolates but makes them from the bean to the mold. This was impressive to me. After a few more people came in they asked if we would like to hear about the history of chocolate and their story. This was a good presentation. I thinks it is cool that they have a hand in the whole process from beginning to end. We got our samples and then left with more bags of treats. We even had one with potato in it (which we can appreciate being from Idaho)! I would definitely recommend a stop in here if you find yourself in Rockland, Maine.

I'm sure the chocolate is fine. The owners? Not folks I would want to give my money to. Which was shocking thing to discover.

If you like chocolate, this is the place for you! Here you can see people making the delicious chocolates that are for sale on the premises. They have samples to try, and then indulge yourself with the various milk and dark chocolate caramels, Maine Needhams, brittle, chocolate-shaped lobsters, and various chocolate bars. Really good chocolate made bean to bar here!

Chocolate lovers rejoice...this hidden chocolate boutique is for you! Located a block or so off the main road with the shops & restaurants of Rockland you'll find this women owned chocolate store. The shop is located right inside the factory so the building appears a little more industrial from the outside and has a no frills shopping experience. While you can find Bixby candies in a number of shops in Maine, definitely swing by to see them make the chocolates and have a wide selection of chocolates to take home - everything from bon-bons filled with unique flavors like strawberry rhubarb and mimosa to dark chocolate bars! There are some spots right outside but if you've parked in one of the public lots it's only a few streets down toward the waterfront.
