About Martin's Point Park
Martin's Point Park is a free swimming area on a lake, featuring a small sandy beach that can get crowded but is often peaceful when not busy. The park area is plenty big enough for people to hang out, play Frisbee, have a picnic, or let children expend energy. There is a boat launch and beautiful scenery, including ducks. Fishing is also available. For amenities, there are only two portable toilets available. The picnic area is large, big enough for several blanket-style picnics, and there are a few picnic tables and possibly grills. There is no playground at this location, and pets are not allowed. Most visitors are friendly, and it is a place where kids make new friends. However, the park tends to be crowded, and some people can be wild and rowdy. A common issue is that irresponsible guests leave behind trash and broken glass, which is dangerous and looks trashy. The portable toilets are handy but can be nasty. Overall, it provides positive experiences with beautiful spots for a picnic or a swim.
