Such lovely service!Ramona was very kind, and was willing to meet with me a second time to touch up the color after I had miscommunciated what I wanted the first time. The cut is gorgeous, the color is super rich, and my hair feels so healthy – this salon is a must-try for anyone who prefers vegan dyes and natural hair treatments!

Balayage Hair! First time I’ve had this service, I am impressed by my first experience with this service, products and salon.My hairdresser Haddy, I highly recommend at the Scarborough location.I had a huge natural growth section with grays, she colored my roots and made the highlights flow beautifully.She is attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and confident. Worst experience ever. I came in last week for a hair straightening apt (not a wash or blow out. Just hair straightening) my hair was washed and blow dried already and I asked my stylist if she’s ever worked with my type of hair and she said she had. Sat down for almost 3hrs and paid $94 for something that didn’t even last a day. Who charges that much for straightening hair?

Yesterday was my first time ever going to this salon. I'll never go anywhere else ever again. My stylist name was Anna G. She did an amazing job, she took her time with me & also took the time to get to know me as well we ran a little behind schedule and she had no problem with it and finished my service I was extremely happy with my outcome and I'll be back in 8 weeks I definitely recommend this placeServices: Haircut

probably the worst cut I've ever had. super short layers cut above my ears that made me look like a mushroom. just horrific. I'm so angry and disappointed. would have been better off flushing $70 down the toilet, at least I would still look decent.

I'm very happy with my haircut and have already booked my next two appointments. I've now been to the Freeport and Scarborough locations and liked both. Also, Alex, who gave me my first great Acapella haircut is now at the Saco salon so I can recommend that location as well.

It depends who ya get really. Some are great some are....not so great....their level system doesn't seem to be based on skill. I see Julia now and I'm very happy with her.

The website says womens haircuts are $50+, and I booked with a Level 1 stylist assuming the rate would be around $50-$60 range. It came out to $93 before the tip, which felt very misleading. The stylist pulled very hard on my hair (an hour later my scalp is still in pain), and I've gotten better haircuts at Supercuts. When I expressed that I felt misled by the price, the receptionist had some wishy washy answer about "half hour" haircuts being "a bit cheaper but not by much". Would not recommend and will not be going back.

Regrettably had a single process color and gloss toner done. Unfortunately, I specifically asked if they use Aveda color which I was told yes as I am sensitive to certain chemicals. A different brand was used and I had a bad reaction to the harshness and chemical odor. I began coughing and congested 20 minutes into the service and my head was stinging mildly. I was told I had a rash on my head when I questioned this. However, I get weekly blow outs and this was a first. I went back today after calling and asking to have my hair washed again and blown out to tone down the chemical smell, it was too much. I explained this was why I asked specifically if they use Aveda when I inquired on coloring my hair. Not only was I charged again for another style, I walked out looking like I just rolled out of bed and neglected to brush my hair or stuck my finger in a light socket. I could have used my Oribe product at home and done a better job at removing the odor and styling.

This was my first visit to an Acapello salon. Julia did a wonderful job trimming my long, thick hair in early July. I hadn't had a trim in 16 months, so my hair had grown from just past my shoulders to about chest-length, was unruly, and had a lot of split ends. Because it is course textured, with natural wave and many cowlicks, it is not easy to cut. I was confident the outcome would be positive, because Julia was self-assured and calm, listened carefully to the exact amount I wanted trimmed, and never suggested any other service unless I inquired. She was happy to answer questions about possible color in the future, to cover my gray and enhance my fading natural copper color (I have yet to color my hair). She made the haircut process easy, and because I am sensitive to many scents, was nice enough to open a window while I was there, and to turn down the music for a calmer atmosphere. Her blunt cutting was expert and quick. I felt much better about my appearance when I saw the result, and plan to see her again every few months. She rightly suggested keeping up with the trims, which will help prevent splitting in the hair, and also suggested salon products, which I will follow up about soon. I want to add that Julia is a very helpful and pleasant person. I enjoyed talking with her so much when I first inquired about salon services, and decided right then to make an appointment with her. The salon, while located on a busy industrial strip in Scarborough, has a peaceful indoor atmosphere, and a much smaller, intimate impression than many salons, which I appreciate. I also like the fact that unlike many salons, there are not large picture windows where everyone outside can see the stylists at work with their clients. I prefer the privacy. I was even offered a beverage while I waited to begin my appointment. Clients can choose from stylists who have different levels of expertise, starting with Level 1 and going up. Prices do vary according to expertise. I would say the pricing, at this independently owned salon, is somewhat higher than some chain salons, but not excessively so. Great results are worth the cost. I had a wonderful first experience yesterday with this salon. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed and offered a beverage and a seat. I felt very comfortable and really liked my stylist and could tell she loved what she does and also she's good at what she does. I felt comfortable with other styles as well! I felt bad as one stylist was treated poorly, however they handled the situation professionally and as a team supported one another. as a healthcare worker, I was so happy to see this and realized we all work so hardly to serve and please even if we are treated poorly and unfairly. I appreciate their time and how they also made sure I was comfortable during that time. my hair came out amazing! looks so healthy and I feel great too! Prices were as I imagined. I chose a salon for a reason. I wanted to feel pampered and I certainly did! products were Not pushed, however simply recommended. Jen is wonderful! I will certainly go back.

Purchased $264.30 worth of service and gift certificates at Scarborough location, they withdrew from my account twice, and have yet to issue credit, after a week and daily follow up phone calls. Something is fishy as they are not issuing me the full credit or attempting to fix the issue. Manager, Tina, is very unprofessional.
