I broke down Sunday night while traveling through. Monday morning I met these guys while they were opening at 8am and they were phenomenal. They showed me the issue (the mechanic was informative and genuine whilst the man I conducted business with at the desk was matter-of-fact and cordial), gave me the price (which was fair and made even more so by giving a discount) and got me back on the road in about 2-3 hours.
They didn't have to prioritize me. They didn't have to offer a fair price (seeing as I was in a difficult situation and my options were limited) but they did.
And that's commendable.
Way to represent your state fella's. Thank you.

It’s always interesting when your car breaks down on a massive road trip. We went to Luke’s Lobster in Portland… I got our food to go… waited 30+ minutes for it… went back out while my wonderful wife waited in the car and... the battery was dead. Click. Nothing. Dead.
It was the evening on a holiday but it only took 2 hours for AAA to give us a jump! The guy was like…”drive it for 20 minutes and it should be OK”. We did and made it back to the hotel but I wanted to find out what was really going on. We have many cities and miles to go!
The next morning, I called Cityside at 8:00am and Ian kindly agreed to take a look at 8:30am! Perfect! It was only 4 minutes away and Ian was very professional and friendly. He checked it out… confirmed the battery was bad, replaced it, and quickly got me on my way all while helping a few other customers.
Thank you Ian and Cityside! Life is good with amazing, professional car service!

Had an exhaust leak on my vehicle while I was up in Maine on vacation. They were able to get me in quickly, had my vehicle for one day and repaired the issue. They got it done for less than initial quote price which I was more than happy with. Definitely recommend coming here for fast service, fair price, no hassle.

Recently had engine issue (loss of power) while entering I-95 north from Kennebuk service/rest area. Got off nearest exit and was able to sputter into E&S Cityside in Scarborough. Sukhi quickly and correctly evaluated issue as bad fuel injector. Recommended replacing all 4 injectors, plugs, and changing the oil. Perfectly described why each was important. They were quite busy and took a few days for me to get BMW X3 back, but pricing was fair (well below his original estimate) and also allowed me a AAA discount. Car running great. ? No doubt if I had it towed to a BMW dealership that I would have shelled out double the cost! Thanks to Edwin as well. Also, shop is just 4 miles from airport so getting a rental as was necessary in my case was easy.

E&S are great! We were driving through Portland and needed to find a mechanic to look into a noise coming from my suspension and fix wrapped rotors. They diagnosed the issue and were able to get me back on the road as soon as possible.They were honest about the work I needed and the prices were fair. I'll be taking my car here again if I'm ever in the area again.

My mechanic retired and he recommended Cityside. When my BMW needed service Cityside was professional and knowledgeable. They have a large garage and east to work with.

Quoted my Daughter an outrageous price to replace an alternator. AAA towed her there. Kept the car for a week. Charged her for a diagnosis. I had the car towed back to my house and fixed it myself for a fraction. Padded up the bill (in my opinion) with other unnecessary repairs. I do not recommend them.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Best mechanic shop I have ever dealt with. They are professional, honest, and their work is perfect. We have been going here since they opened and have referred multiple friends and neighbors who all now use this garage exclusively. There’s a reason for that.Don’t go anywhere else. Seriously, stop looking at any other reviews and call them.

I had cityside do some car work for me today, by far the best mechanic experience I have had. They got me in quick, got a long list of things done in one day with excellent prices and customer service. I will be back!
