I have teeny veins and it’s a legit challenge getting my blood drawn. It took a few tries and a few phlebotomists, but they did it! I found everyone to be very sweet, patient, professional, compassionate, and nice to chat with. It wasn’t a stressful environment, which I really appreciated.I saw other reviews mentioning the music…it was turned down to a pretty low volume, and I actually heard a patient compliment it on their way out. I didn’t mind it at all.Wait time was about 30 minutes on a weekday at 7:25am. I’ve heard weekends are the busiest time, so best to avoid.

7:00 a.m. waiting for our turn, many of us fasting, possibly anxious. Many elderly folks. There is a boombox on LOUD in the waiting area; it sits on the window ledge directly behind some of the chairs where I was sitting. The room is very small. This box has been booming for over a year now as other reviewers have mentioned and complained about and which I've found annoying previously. This morning I and the people sitting next to me were complaining to one another. My tinnitus (ear ringing) was spiking from the high volume of played out classic rock from the 80s:LIVING IN A MATERIAL WORLD! Mah TER IAL!YOU GOTTA FIGHT! FOR YOUR RIGHT! TO PAHHHHH-TY!GO AHEAD AND JUMP! Jump! Etc.I turned around to make it lower and they had completely covered the top with a taped printout with DO NOT TOUCH THIS RADIO!I walked up to the counter and asked the lady if she could please make it lower? She said "a little" and walked over and tapped it only once so it was still loud.Look, I have no problem with employees wanting to have some background music, but put the boombox behind the counter and not directly behind patients. If there is to be music for us, which I like, how about turning it down and/or selecting something patient-centric that will help us relax while we wait?I did reach out to NorDx with this request, I hope they will make this simple change that can make a difference in patient comfort!(No shade thrown on Madonna or the Beastie Boys [maybe a little on Van Halen]. I'm old school and love me some B Boys, but please, not loud at 7 a.m. while starving, headachey and waiting to get jabbed.)Update: I just heard back from a NorDx supervisor who stated this has been an issue before (no surprise), that they need the radio on for patient privacy. I said I can understand needing music, but it doesn't need to be classic rock cranked high, or they could use a white noise machine? I was told that the white noise machine wasn't an option, that they couldn't move the boombox to behind the counter because then the technicians couldn't hear the patients. I asked if they could put on a different station, something easy-going, and not so loud? She would not commit to anything, said she would consider it but that I was free to leave the waiting area next time and ask them to come and get me when it's my turn. She then implied I wasn't being thoughtful of them. There are waiting rooms all over the place including MaineHealth that do not reply on a loud yard sale boombox for privacy.

Staff are nice but obviously do not have enough experience with small babies, relative to how difficult it is to get blood out of them. Much stabbing, much crying, not enough blood, we didn't even get the tests done. Baby is not a vampire.

My GP’s office and I have spent a month trying to obtain test results from this lab. I finally got someone in their “customer solution” office to admit that they “never received the blood sample” from the hospital emergency room. When I asked her why they didn’t let the hospital know right away that they had the order but not the blood sample, she said they have “hundreds of problems every day and can’t get to all of them.” So I will never know what my diagnosis was.

I found these people very efficient & never had to wait long, without an appointment.

Located in the West building. Bit of a wait but fast blood draw.

Not child friendly. Phlebotomists seemed very rushed and the minute my child appeared fearful and pulled her arm back, the phlebotomist just grabbed her arm and tried to hold it down. That just heightened her fear and lit the fire. I knew after that the blood draw wouldn’t be successful, her fear wasn’t going to go away after that. I tried to help calm her down but rather than being patient and talking with her, they were visibly frustrated and just continued to try to hold her arm. I understand this is a business where you want to get people in and out but a little patience with a child goes a long way.

I typically have quite good experiences with the phlebotomists here. However, I did not have a good experience with the young gentleman this morning. He could not get blood in my first arm, and then started poking quite hard inside to try to get blood. It was so painful the pain lasted even after he took the needle out. It's not just painful but seems very disrespectful to have them be careless like that when you could be just a little more careful and not cause pain to the many people you poke each day. Have had much better experiences with women being much gentler there.

Charged 58$ AFTER insurance for an allergy test. They couldn't find anything even though I am proven to be allergic to NSAIDS. Not sure why I am paying for nothing and no answers. This company is getting paid to tell you they don't know whats wrong with you. This company is a joke.

2/21/23. no seating available. Tech's bickering, and the worst music on a very cheap boom box. Like hard raunchy rock. One old woman had to get up to move. The technician was very mechanical and I woke up today with a nasty bruise where he drew blood.

Very professional. Like anywhere you go today, there can be wait times but it moves along at a decent pace. Mysten is the best?

Great! Went for blood test - fast, efficient and easy. Was in and out under 10 minutes, closer to 5.

I see other bad reviews so I i suppose I'm in good company. The receptionist was cold, which isn't the worst thing. However, the young woman who took me in for my lab work was outright rude. Please note that EVERYONE who goes in for having lab work done is NOT FEELING WELL and deserves a bit of compassion, but I would have been fine with mere manners/politeness. Instead, I got the exaggerated raised eyes when I didn't immediately take a seat and have my coat off in record time. (There was no easily accessible hook for my bag and coat; to get to it, I would have had to cross paths in the tiny space with this person and risk getting in her way). And the tone...! I was super-polite and wished her a nice holiday at the end of my visit (b/c it is the day before Thanksgiving). Now I just feel like an idiot. Why was I nice to someone who was treating my like an insect? Bottom line: you are in a healthcare setting and people are sick and/or worried about their condition. Show some empathy. But I guess kudos for cranking through patients to get them on their way. There is something to be said for that. Still--does not require rudeness to accomplish.

Pleasant enough experience. The wait through to completion of my blood work only took 1/2 hour. A lot of people were waiting in line when I arrived, and there wasn't enough seating due to their chair arrangement for social distancing.

Walk in, registered and labs drawn within 5 minutes. It was awesome. I had gone to Stephen's memorial this morning for my fasting labs, they refused to take me as I didn't have an appointment. Will definitely come here from now how. Fast and friendly.
