For the past 18 years Pine Point Animal Hospital has cared for our 8 cats. Since Pine point was sold to a conglomerate the care for our cats had declined. On 2-28-2023 we had taken our cat Bo to have some blood work done. Inquiring with the technician we asked what the cost would be. This technician informed us the cost would be $216.00. Surprised that the same blood test completed months ago had increased $50.00, we brought this to the attention of this technician. Upon viewing the bill after services were completed , we discovered the amount of the blood test was $260.00. The following day we called and left a message to speak with the technician who initially quoted us the cost of Bo's blood test. Office Manager Jayne called us instead where we informed her that this particular technician quoted us the wrong price of Bo's blood test, that we ended up paying $100.00 more for the blood rest.On 9-5-2023 our beloved cat Bo had taken a turn for the worst since having and being treated for kidney disease. We contacted Pine Point Animal Hospital to bring Bo in to say "so long" to him as we have done previously with our four other cats. Before Pine Point Animal Hospital was sold to the new owner, saying "so long" to them, we had no difficulty in making an appointment to do so. As for Bo's situation the receptionist informed us they were busy and for us to take Bo to a 24 hour emergency clinic to say "so long" to him. The care and compassion for our cats stopped when the new conglomerate took over. Before we knew it Office Manager Jayne came on the phone and we explained our circumstances regarding Bo's declining health and pleaded with her to help us out in this difficult time of need. Office Manager Jayne informed us she would have her reception desk employees contact us if there were any cancellations. We later found out from one of the receptionists that Officer Manager Jayne had not done this. Officer Manager Jayne told us what we wanted to hear. Based on how we were treated, we then made arrangements with another veterinary who would accommodate us at any day or time. We did have this other veterinarian help us say "so long" to Bo.On 1-30-2024 we called Pine Point Animal Hospital to have the doctor on duty call us at his convenience to answer a question about giving insulin to our other cat Rosco. After about 7 hours Office Manager Jayne called and we made it known to her why we wanted to speak with the doctor on duty. After a brief discussion and finding that Office Manager Jayne was always involving herself whenever we were making any inquiries for our cats we then informed her that we would no longer have Pine Point Animal Hospital care for our cats. Unknown to Office Manager Jayne and her staff we had already made other arrangements months ago with another veterinary office to care for our other cats just after losing our beloved cat Bo.There have been other issues in addition to what has been said here, it was time to leave Pine Point Animal Hospital.

Pine Point Animal Hospital is amazing! We bring our guinea pigs and rabbit to see Dr. Morrill and can't say enough about how great he is. We always know that they are getting the best care when we go to Pine Point. They always get us in quickly when our animals have been sick and everyone there is super kind and knowledgeable.

Past experiences, Max would tremble and wine upon entering the veterinary clinic. Today he was extremely calm with both doctors during his scheduled annual visit. This is what it’s all about. The experience that Max is feeling during his appointment.

I took my cat in last week and they got me in right away due to pain she was experiencing. They have been nothing but caring and compassionate. The doctors are really nice and knowledgeable. If they don’t know something they know where to look to find the answer. I highly recommend taking your furry ones here.

Extremely disappointing to see what this place has turned into after 11 years of bringing my dogs. I was 4 minutes late to my appointment and they refused to see my dog who was recently diagnosed with diabetes amongst other serious issues. The records I sent PPAH from the local emergency vet were never reviewed in time for his follow up appointment weeks later. Therefore, PPAH staff could not tell me what the plan was for his appointment- whether it was both blood work and/or a urine analysis or neither (that answer changed 3 times) the only thing they were confident about was me being 4 minutes late for my appointment and turning me away for a later date. After the vet admitted he was not familiar with my dog or his case, he reviewed the records I had sent weeks prior while I stood at the front desk. After reviewing, stated he would need to run multiple tests on my dog so they were miraculously able to get us in for a 1-hour appointment almost immediately. He also apologized “to some extent” (his words) that this appointment was not scheduled correctly for the care my dog needed. It’s a horrible feeling not being able to trust that your dog is getting the best care.

I brought in my long haired Himalayan to have him groomed and the staff was just the absolute best. The way they spoke to him and calmed him was so genuine and honestly heart melting. Someone caring about my baby as much as me. They really are great people and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you for being so wonderful to both my boys.

They do an amazing job fitting you in when needed. My pup already feels better less than 24 hours after being seen. The lady behind the desk during check in was very nice and welcoming. The vet tech was as so kind and good to my dog…. And the practice manager put me at ease seeing they deal with situations like this all the time. And finally the female Dr was amazing. She was thorough and listened to my concerned and took all the precautions to make she treated my pup appropriately! Oh and the vibe of the practice is looking good!!! Thank you PPH!

Dr. James and Dr. Barker are two of the nicest, considerate veterinarians we've encountered. They listen to our questions and concerns, give straightforward answers and provide anecdotal support. They genuinely seem interested in our dogs' health. The vet techs are wonderful, and show compassion in their care and handling of our dogs. The support staff has always been cheery and helpful, and love giving our dogs attention. Pine Point Animal Hospital has a charming, comfortable, small town feel to it, we always feel welcome.

Pine Point Animal Hospital is everything you could hope for. They have always diagnosed the issue accurately, have always been patient and kind, they do check-ins and call backs when needed and are quick to get me in to see a doctor asap. I love how quaint the office is and everyone is delightfully pleasant each and every time. It has never been chaotic or loud and their track record truly gives me great confidence when it comes to caring for my sweet little Lassi.

Pine point animal hospital in Scarborough- Great experience from check in to checkout. The Dr’s and staff are excellent communicators, They explain everything clearly to us as pet parents, and take the time needed to determine our pets needs. I’m good times and not so good times they are always professional, caring, kind and on top of the best options. Longtime client and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else
