Awful customer service constantly at the scarborough branch. There is always only one person working the lobby. When a line starts Noone helps the person they just ignore in their little offices. No teamwork what so ever with their staff. When go to drive thru half the time takes 10 minutes get someone to the window and then it's hold on a sec and 5 more minutes later. Just terrible terrible customer service.

So I have read most of the reviews and I can relate to 90% of them.. for the last several years I’ve loved banking with the town a country with no issues aside from them not having people on the weekends to assist with issues and to assist people who can only make it to the bank on the weekends..I no longer live in Maine but I still bank with town an country cause of my dedication to them but that’s soon to change because since they’ve updated the cards #1 my pin for my new card isn’t working or did not transfer from the old card like they said it would to the new card and now I can not pay my bills because nothing is working like paying my bills online or Walmart bill pay, mortgage company nothing …. And it’s the weekend and I need diapers for my littles ones and food for my family this is has opened my eyes to why never trust banks in the worst of times their never there when you need them the most…. Especially when you trust them with your livelihoods ( money ) now how am I too take care of business? I have no access to my funds an I’m all the way in Texas so it’s not like i can go to a branch even if i wanted too…

For the last year there is constantly an issue. It's either the new debit cards don't work half the time or the atm is out of order. I'd say 80% of the time I come here to deposit or withdraw money I CANT! I have a car and drive but for the people who don't this is a huge inconvenience. It's Saturday and now I have to go into work 2 hours late on Monday so I can drive all the way back to the bank deposit money because your not open on weekends. This bank is a complete joke. After 18 years here I'm leaving. Highly recommend to stay away from this 2 star bank.

Almost 15 yrs with this bank and I’m not allowed to add my wife to my account. Sent all the paperwork they asked for. But they said she has to live in the US for 3 yrs. Absolutely ridiculous. I have contacted 6 other credit unions and they laughed and disagreed with those requirements. My wife is a legal resident and has a US social security card and is authorized to work here legally. I’ll be closing this account as ASAP!

This is the slowest, laziest, most inconvenient credit union I ever dealt with, and this we even BEFORE Covid started, Now its even worse! They open after everyone has gone to work and close before you get out, therefore the ONLY time to do banking is during your lunch break. This takes your entire break because no matter what time you arrive the drive through is backed up into the parking lot. The lines move deathly slow because they have a skeleton crew and at least one person at the window has zero ambition or respect for your time. Never a sense of urgency for people on a schedule. Dont even bother calling them because nobody answers the phone here! All calls are routed to 1 person at an office somewhere that does not know you or care about your needs. I have spent 30 minutes on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone! Then once Covid began they closed their office on Saturday so now there are no weekend hours! So your either forced to use up your entire lunch break or take time off to do any kind of banking. All the OTHER BANKS in town have faster drive through times, more people working inside to serve their customers and weekend appointment times. It also takes 2 weeks to get your car title from them if you pay off your loan which is crazy slow since they are a local Credit Union. NOT GOOD ENOUGH TOWN AND COUNTRY!!!!

I've had this bank my entire life I started a savings account when i was little out of all the branches this one is my favorite and i go out of my way to use this one. The people are friendly and they always have a smile for you. I couldn't say anything bad about them. When I was having some financial issues they helped me through and never once did I feel judged.

Worst Credit Union I'm a part of, I'm trading my loans and accounts. They have no interest in serving their members ironic considering this was my first credit union but as I've learned they are more interested in aggressive expanding the loan book of business not on members service's again makes no sense to me why wouldn't you wish to retaine clients. They must be having turnover in management.

Only open until 4. Perhaps my review would have some useful content if I could actually go there without taking unpaid time off work.

Researched a lot of banks and credit unions prior to moving to Maine and decided to go with TCFCU. Their customer service is excellent. Fees are non-existent or very low. The only issue I could see there being for some folks is the short lobby/drive-up hours; however, I do basically all of my banking online & on my phone/iPad so it's not a problem for me. Recommended to all.

I left Bank Of America because I thought Town & Country Federal Credit Union would be my idea bank. Boy, was I wrong. I got very bad service several times and it was very disappointed. I was running errands for my partner who has been off his feet for several months now and I have been helping him out. I became his full time caregiver. Of course for free of charge. I never had any problems with TCFCU at Northgate by withdrawing money out for my loving partner until a teller said they can't do that and who was the one that helped. I says there were several including herself and there wasn't any problems and now she can't help help me? I definitely wasn't being treated as a member as if I was some kind of thief or criminal. I don't like people making me feel that way. I left the counter and immediately took money out of the ATM. When I was about to go back in, I noticed that she was rushing pretending she was talking to her colleage. I saw her watching me. I don't watched. When I passed by her I overheard her call me a moron. So because of this, I refuse to be a member with this credit union. This happened twice to me. Why be somewhere that would make you feel uncomfortable? I am no happy there anymore. I never had trouble with Bank Of America, in fact I really like Bank of America. I only left that BOA because I wanted to try out the credit union. But with Town & Country Federal Credit Union they treating me like crap and that is unacceptable. You just lost two customers. We are not returning there again.
