“Josh Johnson lead me here for a night of laughter and thought provoking fun. I was stoked to come through Portland to see one of my favorite comedians. He did not disappoint. I was most impressed by the fresh routine, not recycled jokes and commentary. We also had the pleasure of being introduced to two other comedians that were just as entertaining and loads of fun. Can't wait to see Josh again, the show was fire.”

“Rad hotel for families. Exceptional service. Every staff member was so kind. Free hot chocolate for the kids and coffee for the adults. Room has a nice view of the harbor. Pool is great. Only suggestion would be mats for the tubs—my 5 yo slipped and banged his head on the tub. Very slippery. And the beds are little too soft for my tastes.
They’re renovating the rooms as of January 2025, so maybe they’re fixing those issues.
Location wise, quick walk (<10 mins) to so many restaurants.
Walkability: Very walkable”
“Intimate venue that is great for performers. First come, first seated - but there are only about 15 rows of seats, so just about every seat has a good view. First row seats are right at the edge of the stage, and there is additional seating in the balcony which offers a great view from above the musicians.”
“I will be honest - I haven’t stayed here - but the hotel management deserves 5 stars for impeccable service and helping me after I made a booking mistake and didn’t realize it until the night of my stay. Thank you for helping me and providing excellent service! Next time I’m in Portland, I’ll be staying at the AC!!”

“A great venue for outdoor music. Lawn chair seating is possible, but make sure you read the height requirements prior to showing up and try to get there when the grounds open for the event.”
“Awesome place to have your event. Excellent service. Super atmosphere with the bowling lanes and the corn hole lanes. Nice bar and dining area. A really fun place.”
“In addition to the fields, there's a great playground with two sides. One for younger and one for older kids. There's a nice covered picnic table area and swings too.”
“This post is amazing, I was semi-connected with it over a decade ago and while I was having fun, then it did involve a lot Partying. It's a different story now, for many reasons That I will not go into it this time. The leadership there is incredible, welcoming, and more social oriented. They hold many dances, Public dinners, events like poker and bingo To mention but a few. To get an idea of the place drop in on a Monday Night from 4 o'clock on and check out the Bingo operation. There's no drinking while you're playing bingo. But you may have a drink at the bar while you're waiting Everyone there was a volunteer no one gets paid in 42 people had a good time last night. This is just one example of the many things they do. Money raise goes to many causes but one eye, especially like is a scholarship for kids going to trade school. Even if you are not a veteran of a foreign war, if you are related to one, you can join the auxiliary, men or women, Check it out”
“I went to a wedding and reception here
It was wonderful. It has good indoor and outdoor space. There was karaoke upstairs and dancing downstairs. It seemed like a great venue”
“The perfect corporate retreat. The food was great and the views were spectacular— they mentioned restroom upgrades are underway, which is great, and shows they’re always improving. I would book with them again.”
“I've photographed several weddings at O'Maine Studios and it's such a special venue! I love that it has an industrial feel that couples can make their own. It's also such a treat to be able to be downtown in Portland and get creative with photo spots around the venue. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a unique and fun downtown wedding venue!”
“TPW was such a great spot for our company gathering. We had the perfect sized room for day of training with the outdoor space and bar area making the lunch and happy hour time fun and upbeat. The team here did a great job of meeting our needs and ensuring our day went as smoothly as possible.
If you are looking for an intimate space for your event, I can certainly recommend The Public Works!”
“Took my youngest daughter and my grandson and one of her friends. There is something that they all could do they all had a blast. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. I did try calling a few times and nobody answered I end up calling the Massachusetts one to get more information. The bathrooms were disgusting most of the Stalls didn't have toilet paper as well and the place was filthy. But other than that everyone had a good time. But now everybody's sicker than a dog with covid I believe the kids got it from going there. Wish they cleaned and sanitized more.”
“Working with Broadturn Farm was absolutely one of the best decisions we made for our August 2025 wedding. Not only were the flowers beautiful, but the entire process of working with Angela was refreshing, thoughtful, and truly collaborative.
My mom and I had strong opinions about flowers, including wanting to incorporate flowers grown in my mom’s own garden alongside those provided by Broadturn. Angela carefully worked through every detail to make this vision possible and to ensure the two sets of flowers felt cohesive. The flower buckets were incredibly generous and filled with stunning varieties, and the bouquets, boutonnieres, and select statement arrangements for the aisle and other key areas of the wedding matched our vision to a t.
We truly couldn’t recommend Broadturn Farm enough!”
