“I just wanted to add another sincerely positive review to Dr. Abigail Hooker and her whole staff. We brought our two cats here for the last several years and always felt they were very well cared for. As other reviewers have noted, what sets this practice apart is the consistently kind and compassionate nature and patient focus of everyone at the office. There are a lot of good vets out there, it’s a field for people who care about animals. That said, this really feels like a place where people deeply care about cats and try to make the safest and most supportive environment for them. Dr. Abigail Hooker’s bedside manner is gentle and soft-spoken. She’s very patient with her explanations. She really seems to listen to what you say, builds a collaborative relationship with you, and she and her assistants handle cats very kindly. We just made the difficult decision to euthanize our 19 year-old cat, Stilly. Prior to that we chose a palliative care approach. Dr. Abby was comforting and nonjudgmental throughout the process. She focused on making Stills comfortable for the last six months of his life. We cherish the remaining time that we had with him, and felt very supported in how it all went. The actual euthanasia was done with care, patience, and compassion. Both the doctor and the vet tech Heather did everything they could to try to make him comfortable and help us be part of the process in the way that we wanted. Of course, saying goodbye and euthanizing a cat that we love so much was incredibly hard. But we are grateful for the real efforts made to help us with this transition. Another thing I’ll point out is that this is one of the few local practices that is vet owned, rather than managed by a private equity firm. So you’re effectively supporting a small business and a practitioner guided by their values and ethics, not a company focused on making profit for rich folks. If that matters to you, it’s another factor in favor of this wonderful practice.”

“I just had to write this review in praise of Pine Point animal hospital and staff and Dr. Drew and his kind, compassionate care of my Penny. Penny has bladder cancer but is still going on good medicine. Recently she developed giarda (sp) and has extreme diarrhea. Really scary blood and poop all over. He calmed me down and said we're still hopeful she'll get through this. Thanks so much for all your support for Penny and me.”
