I'm writing this review in response to Tati Li's previous post. While I don't know the specifics of their experience, I want to offer some context about the staff member in question. The individual has autism and, as a result, may come across as quiet and reserved. However, once you get to know them, they're more than happy to engage in conversation.
As someone with several years of retail experience, I can attest that it's standard practice for employees to keep conversations brief and focused on the transaction. Additionally, staff are often instructed to check customers' carts to ensure nothing is left behind.
I understand that having a poor experience can be frustrating, but it's essential to consider the full situation before criticizing an individual. Notably, the staff member in question wears a pin that reads, 'Please be patient with me, I have autism.' If you had seen this pin, you might have understood their behavior differently.
Let's strive to be more empathetic and understanding, especially when interacting with individuals who may have unique needs or challenges.

I am giving it 5 stars because I always loved the convenience of being close to home and all who had been, and are there, except one in particular who is more of a newbie, name starts with a C...She has more than once been so rude to me. From barely grunting acts like your bothering her, pushing items at you. It was addressed and mind you I didn't want to make any trouble. But following times I went in she was there, the last time was the final straw, I emptied the cart and she leans over the counter and was like was that everything? I was furious! She then barely grunted again but when waiting in my sister she was more talkative, but not by much. She acts extremely entitled, with her little attitude and phone ear piece. I decided to stop going to this store for a while after being a regular for quite a long time. Thank goodness Edward's is in town! And will go to belfast DG instead...

The blonde maybe middle aged lady who I believe is the manager now is super inappropriate with her conversations in front of customers. She has been talking poorly about employees out loud and also whispers in employees ears while right in front of you and will glare at you and also point making it obvious she’s talking about you. I witnessed numerous interactions this lady has had with people and it’s really disappointing to see. She was gloating about how much better she’s making the store randomly while you’re just trying to check out. I’m not sure if she’s on drugs but I wouldn’t be surprised. The store isn’t in better shape either it’s just as disorganized if not more now, always tons of stuff blocking every isle and it smells so bad you have to hold your breath while shopping in there

I'm still shaken by the cashier April's unacceptable behavior. Today, she whispered derogatory comments about my brother, who has Down syndrome, to the customer in front of us, attempting to conceal her cruelty.
Her actions were not only hurtful but also cowardly. Mocking someone with disabilities is never acceptable im never shopping here again.

My experience has been awesome, there is a particular manager that I follow from store to store, her name is latisha , she is very sweet, friendly professional and I know each store that she is at, I can be sure it's clean and well organized..keep up the good work and the smiling face and good attitude you always have, as long as she stays I will remain a faithful customer..many thanks

I was shopping and overhead an unprofessional conversation between the blonde at the register and a customer about another employee. Absolutely wild to talk smack about employees while on the clock to customers and even coworkers. The store was an absolute mess and that’s being polite from the day before when it was 10x worse. Whoever’s handling the store as of late needs a reality check because what a show and I say that on the worst way.

Stopped by this Dollar General to buy a few items late one evening. Had a few questions about products I rarely buy and the staff were very helpful. Decent place with friendly employees.

I have no clue where you were from the recent reviews but I would have to say you're crazy.This store is a mess, rude employees, lazy employees.Cashier rude ? should be fired.Dollar general has went down hill , since I work for them. Nothing customer service about them.
