We have dined here several times, and while not always consistent, last night was OUTSTANDING. Great atmosphere, and the Chef can really do up some seafood with a Southern flare! I had perfectly cooked fried oysters and sea scallops on a linguine pasta with a delish homemade baguette. Perfect! We had a pre-fixe menu option that was perfect!!

Food is amazing. We stopped for lunch, they had some nice specials for the day. I had a taste for the cornflower dredged fish. Oh my, sooo tasty and the mashed potatoes:). We tried their soups, delicious and blackened chicken Caesar salad. Don't pass this place by, open everyday!

This is a magical place. We had dinner at the Tavern. they had a lovely duo with live music which was really nice. The food was very good and it was great to get a real cocktail as well. The decor is very "old Maine" and you feel like you are on an adventure. We ate inside - the outdoor area was large and very well laid out.Our server was very helpful and gracious. Would come back in a minute.

We had dinner in the tavern and it was very nice. Service was great and the food was delicious. My husband had the Cesar salad and duck, he enjoyed it. I had a Caesar salad, crispy Brussels sprouts and spinach, happy I had these lighter options. There was a couple playing music and singing, they were outstanding. Nice to listen to live music.

We just moved to the area in Maine, and the Homeport has quickly become a favorite place for us to stop over. We live over in Castine, and when we're planning a roadtrip, the Homeport is now our first-night stay. We first stayed back in November of last year, and now we've returned twice. Each time, we're impressed with the rooms (the new owners have done an extensive redesign and the space is looking incredible!), and even more impressed with the service! Arno (one of the owners) is the most amiable guy... we honestly could totally see ourselves having a cocktail with him! The inn also accommodated our mini schnauzer, which made us very happy :) We'll be back!

We go for dinner. Never stayed at the inn. The food is very good. The staff is great. The owner favors some regulars and that can be very infuriating. Three for is worth itFood & drinks: Great food and bar

I've eaten here twice and the food is excellent. On my visit last week, I had the swordfish special with a mascarpone citrus sauce and a little fruit. Delicious. A must try if you are in the area.

We had dinner in the beer garden since we didn't make reservations on a busy Thursday night. There was a popular live band inside. Food was yummy, but probably a little expensive for a beer garden picnic table in the hot sun. (There is umbrellas but they don't move.) We look forward to enjoying the tavern inside on our next trip. Brussel sprouts and salmon was very good!

The onion rings are like from our childhood. The Brussels ports are great and the burgers cooked to protection. You should stop by either in the "candle lit tavern or during the day stop by and have a beer outside in the garden

My dad Compton plays music here and let's just start out by saying the owner Arno puts so much intention and warmth into this business. You can feel it when you walk in, as you step back in time. Combined with the elevated menu and bad a** chef Kip, who puts his southern roots and mixes them with the freshness of Maine ingredients. The staff is kind and I highly recommend any of the pasta specials, the Brussels sprouts and the gumbo. Please keep doing your thing and if anyone is visiting Searsport please add this spot to your list.

Eat here if you seek an amazing evening that begins with the 'this can't be the place' experience of pulling into the circular drive of a classic down east coastal mansion and driving out back to park and walk in the pub style entrance. It's Tuesday night and there is a great acoustic duo playing last century rock and roll standards in the cozy bar. Turn left into the dining room and settle in with a great craft cocktail (I had a better boulevardier than the dozens and I've had in Baton Rouge or New Orleans and my wife loved the Jalapeño spiced margarita) to tamp down the anxiety of knowing you can't eat the three appetizers and two entrees you've already decided are must haves from the menu. The oysters are the best I've had north of the DMV. There isn't a bad appetizer on the menu. We had scampi that amazed, and our neighbor's steak chimichurri looked out of this world. Ask the bartender what craft pours are not on the menu (hint: have a Rasputin stout). Don't forget to top it off with dessert - the bread pudding can't be beat!
