They charge you so much money to do absolutely nothing. And then continue to charge you for services that you didn’t approve of. Your dog walks in and they look at him and it’s a “comprehensive exam” and that’s $60 bucks already out the door. All they care about is the money.

I am told that Dr. Linnell works there on Tuesdays now. If she does work there please clarify. I can't understand how any veterinary practice can accept a vet who took pain medicine out of the mouths of terminally ill and suffering animals. At the time she owned the practice, she billed insurance companies for medication not actually dispensed to my pet. Had I known she was going to start again I would have filed an AG complaint. Of course, the diversion of narcotics from my dying pet to her as detailed in my original evaluation was far worse, but perhaps there is high staff turnover because there have been multiple issues which are documented by the state. Dr. Linnell was sanctioned three times by the Board: for diverting narcotics from animals and filling syringe with saline or colored water and also giving the wrong dose of heartworm medicine to a dog, and was found guilty of negligence. She also used another's vets DEA number. Don't use her. She killed my cat with a slow painful death -- again see Maine Veterinary Board. Her problems extend nearly a decade but she is still allowed to practice---unbelievable.

My husband, daughter and I brought our 13 year old corgi to this vet to be put to sleep. He was no longer able to use his rear legs and was going down hill quickly. The vet said he still saw "life in him" so we took him home with a bunch of meds. He still continued to decline and could barley move. After two months we made the painful decision (again) to put him out of his suffering. The vet took him out back and we sat in the waiting room and listened to our poor dog scream in pain as they poked him multiple times trying to put an IV in his poor old veins, until I had enough and told the receptionist to get the vet immediately! I told him this was supposed to be humane and he was hurting my dog. He then brought him into an exam room where we could be with him and gave him one shot to put him down. They should have trusted us the first time we told them our dog was ready and not make us go through this twice and then to have to endure the trauma of they way hurt him. We will never forget that our dog had a great life that had to end in this awful way. Heartbreaking.

I have taken all of my animals here for as long as I can remember. I can't recall a time that I haven't been satisfied with my service.

I will be asking for a internal review of this place. Something is going on. I have never seen so much staff come and go. I mean the actual vets. My 10 year old golden has been going there since a pup. New owners took over few years back. Place went to hell. Just this year lost 3 vets and Lord knows how many others. The Dr missed feeling a tumor during a exam 2 days ago. She was healthy fine and happy when I brought her for her shots. Next morning about dead. Brought her to animal hospital where they could clearly feel her mass which overnight blocked her bladder. She had a xray on Feb. 15th and I was told again how healthy she was and also a exam. Now yesterday her mass was big enough to block her bladder and because of its position surgery wouldn't most likely help her. I had to put my 10 year old dog down who for 10 years was healthy . Zero health problems except a limp in one leg. I'm devastated and will never be the same. She was my baby. She was more then just a dog. She was part of my soul . My children who grew yup with her are also devastated. I will never get over this loss. I don't understand how she could be not diognosed by 2 different vets in 4 months time and had a xray ! The vet where she died yesterday clearly felt the mass outside the body. There is no words to describe my emptiness and heartache. I will probably have nightmares the rest of my life replaying in my head her dead body and how the day before she was her usual happy playing self. I blame myself for staying with this place. I should have left when every time I go there was a new Dr. Everyone was quitting.

After being customers there for over 15 years(our cat of 14 years passed at the end of Jan) we adopted a new cat a few weeks ago and when we called the vet to make an appointment we were told they weren't taking new patients. Seriously? After more than 15 years. While I have no complaints about the care our cats received there, how about remembering those who have been with you for a while. We were told to call around which we did and will be taking our business elsewhere.
