When I give $45 cash for a $44.73 transaction I expect to get $0.27 back, not a quarter. Like I didn’t even say “oh I don’t need the pennies” the dude just handed me a quarter and thought that was acceptable? Super bizarre.

I empathize with the female staff member who effectively managed a hectic line and a rude customer under stressful conditions. The store was orderly, with a wet floor sign near a spill by the second register.
