Hubby realized after throwing away receipt that his new shirt had a snag in it. We went back two days after purchase just trying to make an EVEN EXCHANGE and they wouldn’t let us, despite having the same style of shirt still in stock! Obviously we aren’t running a scam- the shirts were still there! This policy stinks and we will not be spending one more dime here!

While wandering the Maine Mall, we noticed Eddie Bauer was having a sale and stopped in to check it out. The clothing looked nice enough... but seemed to be an odd cut, kinda short in the torso and legs and not much option if you're a bigger person. Store itself was very clean and neat.

Eddie Bauer is becoming the only place I will purchase clothing. It is very difficult to find durable, comfortable, stylish, well fitting clothing for men of my size anywhere else.

One pleasant older lady and one rude. I got the rude one. Twice. Watch out returning things. One has no clue. And instead of exchanging returns and over charges. Oh and dont apologize for making me come back twice.

Usually a great store with very friendly people, but I went in December 27th to return some things and was blown away by how ridiculously rude a woman at the register was. I was so offended by the service and attitude. Great store as long as you don’t have her “helping” you out

Was there on black Friday. Saw i coat that i loved. Had been looking all day for the perfect coat and finally found what i was looking for. Nice Thyme green color and 50% off. They did not have my size. Tried online and completely sold out. Becky went above and beyond to call stores in the district to see if they had one and no one did. She stepped aside and went outside of the district and found one for me. She really went above and beyond what she had to do, esp. being in the afternoon with what i am sure was a busy day. Thankfully it was not too bad when she was doing this. The other store shipped it out to my house and i had it by the middle of the week.

This review is specifically for the Eddie Bauer store at the Maine Mall in Portland, ME....I have been trying to find a particular coat that was sold out on the website...It is usually an online-only item in the size I wanted so it would have had to be a return to a store - A long-shot, at best! I had called numerous stores to no avail. I called the Eddie Bauer customer service but that didn't work out either. As a last shot, I called the Portland, Maine store from my cozy house in the middle of a snowstorm (on a snow day - I actually thought they may be closed). A lady named Chris Bailey answered - I explained the problem and she said she had a way to search stores and she would call me back. Often, in similar situations, I never hear from the store again - BUT, within 20 minutes, Ms. Bailey was calling me to report that she had found it at 2 stores - she called the stores herself and only one actually had it. She put it on hold with a clerk at that store and gave me the information to call and order it from the store which worked out perfectly. I would like to compliment EB for encouraging employees to look further to satisfy that ONE customer - but, especially, Ms. Bailey for taking the initiative to even be at work on such a nasty day and, for going above and beyond her "retail job" to make this purchase happen....Exceptional service, for sure! Thank you!
