Brought a defective hard drive in to be fixed. It cost $80 in store for them to simply run the diagnostic that it was faulty, which I already knew. Then they quoted me $250-500 to send it in for the data to be restored, with a 100% guarantee that the data would all be able to be retrieved, so I agreed. Once I sent it in, I got an email that it would actually cost $1,500 with no guarantee that any of the data would actually be able to be restored. Thoroughly unimpressed by my experience and will not be a returning customer.

If I could Give a No star review I absolutely would! The driver of the geek squad van with the Maine license plate 2c9955 is a complete jerk ! It’s I’m trying to pull into MY OWN driveway Mr geek squad and the leprechaun in the passenger seat thought they needed to beep their horn and stomp on the gas pedal getting up to 55 mph in a 20 mph zone ! Maybe geek squad employees need to get air a defensive driving course! Not acceptable we have kids around here!

What terrible attitudes and customer service!!! Go to any other store but here.There are very few customer service people, and you can't just come in and buy anything without someone helping thus make sure you have a lot of time! The person who initially helped me was the manager and assistant manager, attitudes just were terrible.

After a very unsettling experience with a Technician who unbuckled his pants to tuck his shirt in IN MY KITCHEN WITH MY 3 CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE, I tried to reach a supervisor of some sort to report him, only to discover that Geek Squad HAS NO SUPERVISORS for their field techs. I was and AM outraged and will not use them again.

I brought my 8 month old laptop that I bought here because it would not turn on this morning. I waited in line only to be told I needed an appointment to drop it off and the next one was 9 days later. I asked if I could just leave it and I didn't care if I had to pay and they replied the appointment was for that as they ship the unit out for the repair. They had no issue selling me it but I have to wait 9 days just to drop it off for repair. What made it worse was their attitude, no wonder they have such bad reviews.

I'm sure the people at this Best Buy are nice people, but in terms of Service, these people never pick up the phone or accurately hear out their customers for repairs needed. I sent out a computer on October 10th and told them exactly what the problem was, the motherboard is broken and the drivers are messed up as a result. They sent it to their service center under my warranty and the people there bought parts related to the things I had mentioned weren't functioning due to broken drivers. Luckily, I had the sense to call the people at the Service Center to make sure that they did it all correctly. They did not. Despite me telling them that they were essentially replacing things that were not broken, they refused to listen and went through with it anyways. My computer was "repaired," sent back to my local Best Buy, and from calling them multiple times over the last few days, the case has been reopened. I have not been notified at all of this and mainly got the information from out of state members who had no idea what was going on.I do not know if this is an example of how incompetent this company is as a whole or just how negligent and borderline know-it-all the people at this store are, but this was my experience, and I will say that I would not recommend this store or the Geek Squad for anything other than a surface level repair. Clearly they don't know anything about laptops or hardware considering I had to explain to them what a broken motherboard entails for a soldered computer.In terms of value, well, I just wasted over 2000 dollars on a computer that broke 3 months after using it, didn't I? 200 dollars of that were spent on a warranty that was more of a stress to deal with than anything, especially due to aforementioned negligence and lack of communication.By the way, pick up the phone, I've been on hold for 14 minutes past your assumed pick up time. Hope you all who have to deal with this terrible company have a nice day and please, just use NewEgg or another reputable tech store.

I bought a stove and refrigerator to the tune of 2700+ the day they were supposed to deliver it I get a call a few hours ahead of delivery to hear it wasn't being delivered because it hadn't been released from the store it was at. Except I bought a stove because the one I had was on it's last leg. Now it's four days later I have no new or old stove because the one I had finally died. The new one isn't scheduled till Wednesday which is three days away. I swear...I should have known better.

We got a voice mail from geek squad saying that if we did not contact them they were going to delete the order. We called the number given and were transferred to life alert. We called back and were told to press # we got transferred right back. I called the online number and got the run around. I called back and told them I needed to contact the store to see if a lost credit card was there. I was told someone from the store would call me. Still no call. Great customer service!!!!!lol

I received a pair of skull candy earphones for Christmas. I understand these are not expensive earphones, $30, but they we not the $12 ones either. They stopped working in January. I took them back today, only to be told the Christmas deadline had already passed and they couldn't do anything for me. The deadline for returns is January 15 unless I purchased an extended warranty! Very disappointed that these earphones lasted about a month and Best Buy would do nothing for me. Poor customer service and the gentleman helping me kept referring to the "script" that I was past the deadline for returns. I didn't change my mind about the purchase... THEY STOPPED WORKING!!! No one is customer oriented anymore! Unhappy customer!

Never did what they said they were going to do. If I would have read the reviews I would NOT have given them a chance to anything. Complete waste of time and money.
