I am just so tired of stores that do customer shaming and this is one more place. I have never been here, I came to buy birthday balloons. One associate seemed confused about my inquiries, but was very kind. She checked me out and told me where to get my order. Not a minute later another associate, possibly a Manager, half my age is yelling at me like I’m stupid for standing “in the wrong spot”! I couldn’t even fill out the after survey to describe what happened because “too many words” they only want 1200 characters to explain your experience. This place was not a party.

Great selection of items for my birthday party and reasonably priced. The store is clean, bright, and easy to find what you need.

Only one associate in the store. Very limited stock. Unable to find anything that was needed for a landmark birthday.

I really enjoy working here this is me first at party city and I honestly can say it’s been my favorite job I had so far. Everyone at the store very supportive and helpful. Thank you for having me as a team member ??

I’d give zero stars if possible! I bought two single balloons and asked for them to be filled.. 3 employees behind the counter and I’m told only one of them fills balloons and she said she was too busy, the helium tank is literally 2 feet away from the register . I’m confused why the person behind the counter is unable to fill balloons , do you need to be certified to use a helium tank? So now I need to go to Hannaford and pay them $8 to fill my 2 balloons that should have been filled for free at Party City… process needs to be reevaluated at the South Portland store! RIDICULOUS

There were almost no costume options or accessories and the web site said there items available in store that weren't. 90% of the store is just paper products, balloons and party favors.

I always take my kids here to shop for birthday decorations. Didn't have the emoji theme this year, but that was alright, we decided on the cute butterfly theme. Bound to find what you are looking for even if it wasn't the 1st choice.

As an event planner I've always had success finding what I needed via Amazon and The Dollar Tree (and, sometimes, Five & Below, Michael's, and Walmart). Recently I was looking for something super specific - crinkle cut paper shred filler for gift boxes and basket filling - and, to me, it made sense that Party City would be the number one place to have it. At the time I came they had two bags left: a 1-ounce bag of metallic color and a 2-ounce bag of black shreds both for $3.75. I asked if there was anything else left available (never hurts to ask, right?) and the staff told me, "What we have is what we have." ... so, not super helpful. Also, for reference, I had bought 1 pound of paper shred filler for $22.99 online. Way, way cheaper. Anyway, I looked around the entire store, and in general, it's pretty rundown. There's some specifically licensed brands here though, so I guess if you were looking for Star Wars or Frozen stuff, this would be the spot to come. But a 21 birthday party theme? An orange colored theme? A tropical theme? You can get all that stuff elsewhere for cheaper.

Best selection of party materials one could ever find in the area. Plus, they have helium.

I would give you a zero if I could!!!We had a celebration of life for a young woman who died in a terrible accident and wanted a cutout of her for the event. There is ZERO quality control with this company. I uploaded an image and it looked great on my computer screen. BUT instead of alerting me that it wasn't a big enough image to create this large cutout, they sent me a completely blurry cutout--10 days later. You couldn't even tell who it was.And there was no time to reorder a new one. All I can say is that you need a VERY large image to do this size of a photo project. And maybe you should go to a company that will tell you the image constraints.

Very helpful staff! I was late ordering balloons for a big party and they kindly hustled to get them done early for me! Great selection too
