We haven't had a very good experience with the grooming department. It's not the quality of the grooming, but more so the customer experience and how much of a hassle it can be to book appointments. It's difficult to get through on the phone and sometimes requires many calls and messages to schedule an appointment. We've also had them cancel on us--I understand that things happen, but also feel Petco could do more to make customers feel valued.

I was in the store in So Po, just yesterday looking for a cat scratching post and walked by a glass case with ferrets playing. I stopped for a minute to watch them, as one brown ferret was extremely rough with a white ferret. The brown one burrowed its nose so deep in the poor white ferret's arse that the white one screamed in pain and frantically tried to escape, but that brown one was very aggressive. I tried finding a manager but could not find anyone. The staff were all very busy, so I walked out - had to get out of there because I felt so traumatized. The staff should keep watch on their animals and make sure they separate those aggressive ones that attack the weaker animals. I cannot UN-see that horrible situation.

They carry quite a few brands and mostly in stock. Some items seem to be only available online. Went a couple of years without owning a dog... Prices went crazy in those 2 years but that's probably true everywhere.

Got a new fish tank set up, wish there was a 20 Gallon Long kit, but only had 20 Gallon Tall kit. And cost $20 more than what it said it would online for everything. Overall, pretty good experience. Everything was near each other making it easy to find

Friendly service but frustrating when buying live bugs for your lizards and frogs!! They charge you for a certain number of bugs 1/2 are dead when you get home and the rest die within a couple days!! I think the tanks and terrariums are ridiculously priced as well as the lighting and heating !

FYI please ensure you are not saving your credit card information as petco store is easily hacked online. I'd say this store was a victim of being hacked multiple times. Thankfully we have the man's information. Be careful everyone.

Made an appointment online for grooming services at 5:00, and on the day of I received a text that they do not have time for my dog unless I bring him earlier. I told them I could rearrange my schedule for this and they can groom him between 3:30-5:30. Then I received multiple text messages with continuous questions about the services (which I have never experienced before, and I had already filled out the paperwork online). I then got a messages saying that the price of just a a bath would be $90, which is twice the amount of the services that I booked for online, my dog does not need to be deshedded or anything like that. It seems to me that the groomer was doing whatever they could to get me to cancel the appointment and leave early.

Advertising says walk in for certain services do not believe it! Drove 40 mins for a nail trim that would take less than 10 mins, was told they couldn’t do it at all today. When one employee wasn’t doing anything and another hadn’t started with a dog that just walked in. When I said that online advertised walk ins welcome she said well that’s online. I did not feel like I was valued as a customer they did not try to solve my problem or make any attempt to make me a customer feel like my business is important. I called up Wag and Wash down the road and they know customer service got me right in as a walk in and we’re absolutely great go there locally owned instead of a corporation
