Had breakfast here. Took 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered and it was absolutely disgusting. Hash browns and eggs were undercooked. Pancake was hard as a brick. Whatever cheese they put in my wife's omelet was gross. I just got up and left. No point wasting time to send it back when it's that bad. It's one of those times when you look around at other people there and can't believe they eat food I wouldn't serve my dog.

Cozy, small town country store with a kitchen. Friendly owners, good food. Whole place feels like a time capsule from before the internet.

Great for breakfast or lunch, and much more than you might expect. Being it is the only place for miles, they should have a bit of something for most needs.

We really like this place--a classic general store with just what's needed for sale on the shelves, and simple well-prepared food for lunch! The staff was friendly and helpful and the customers varied from tourists like us to workmen on lunch break. Some members of our party had ordered the Turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce and the cook came out to tell us it would be a moment because she had to make more stuffing! It wasn't "artisan" but it was delicious. Fresh soft bread and great Turkey.

Barbecue a little too sweet; fries soggy; place too dark and congested. Place needs work.

I really love this place. It is perhaps the best representation of small maine country stores. Situated in South Thomaston with a commanding view of the harbor and adjacent Keag River, the store features a nice selection of wine, beer , and liquor , as well as soft drinks and small selection of groceries. They roast their own turkeys in house year round and offer turkey dinners as well as sandwiches. I've tried their turkey sandwich which was quite good, however, their Reuben was truly great. Headed out on the water for the day ? Grab some sandwiches and drinks for the trip. Or if you prefer , sit inside at the tidy little tables and enjoy the view of the water and perhaps some good conversation with the locals. I'll be back soon, so save a Reuben for me.

We love the Keag store! My wife and I were there for my birthday breakfast back in February and we've been going about every other week since.

The best tiny maine diner food you can legally find. There are others, but they are completely top secret. Until the clearance ceiling cracks, go to the "Gig."The public landing across the street is epic to bird watch. There is a family of cranes and I have snapped a black belted king fisher, as well as terns, cormorants, geese, gulls, etc... if you don't get yer cheeseburgers here, you are a nature hating communist.Reasonable prices.

Despite the size of their kitchen they have great food, their pizza is really good, and the crab rolls are amazing, you get a very good amount of crab and it's always super fresh.

Friendly staff, great food. Nothing fancy. We visit here every year and always eat here several times. The crab and lobster rolls are our favorite. They have much more than seafood, but we've just never had anything else. Their macaroni salad and fish hash both are delicious. We highly recommend this place.
