Not a bad place. Just pricey for what you get.

After a long day in Acadia we found ourselves heading back to our Airbnb in Tremont. We were not wanting the crowded streets of Bar Harbor. It also seemed that many places had closed for the season in spite of the crowds and the fact that it was only Oct. 13. We came in at 6:45 knowing that they closed at 7pm. They graciously fixed us a fabulous pizza to go. They were even taking orders after ours. Our pizza was a delicious brick oven pizza, not just a quick stop slice. The staff was very kind and didn't make us feel bad for dropping in at the last minute. Top notch service and food! I will definitely go out of my way to return next time we are in the area. Hands down this was one of the best meals we had on our 10 day journey along the coast!

We were quite disappointed with our experience at this bakery. It had been suggested to us by quite a few people, so we had high hopes. We got four pastries and a ham and cheese croissant. Of the pastries, only the ginger cookie was noteworthy. Perfectly soft and chewy. The other two were mediocre - the blueberry tart and the sticky bun.My boyfriend had asked if they could heat his ham and cheese croissant and they told him no. Which is pretty absurd. Who wants a cold ham and cheese croissant? While we had been waiting in line, we noted the prices of other items. $20 for a super small pizza, we discovered a six pack of small blueberry muffins was $18. None of the pastries in the case showed prices, we had to ask. And this place was ridiculously overpriced for the quality.Save yourself the time and money and go to Milagro down the road. Better baked goods and better service.

I live on an island off the coast called frenchboro it’s difficult for me to get to little notch bakery for their sandwiches and pizza but hands down the quality of their ingredients and the way they let you build your own pizza is the best anywhere I’ve ever been I’m a Sicilian Italian grew up in an Italian home and highly recommend all of their products try it for yourself you won’t regret it

$6.50 for the small blueberry tart- decent, but not really for the price. But this is the era we live in.

We stopped here for something sweet to go. We got an apple tart and a blueberry tart. It’s a cute little shop with baked goods and local goods. We just stumbled across this bakery passing thru town and we were glad we did.

We stopped here for a snack before going to the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Gardens. The chocolate croissant was perfect! Nice flaky pastry and delicious chocolate inside. We sat outside and had a soda with the pastry.

Love this place, consistently amazing food. Don’t miss the grilled flank steak sub with garlic aoli that is to die for. Their pizza is also amazing. They also offer lots of packaged snacks and drinks.

Seems like a nice shop with various grab and go options. With dietary restrictions in my party, I asked someone manning the counter if there were any vegan options and I received an abrupt “no!” Then another person working the counters said some of the breads were vegan it sounds like. A customer shared that the market nextdoor likely has some vegan food.

Stopped in for lunch and was looking for something cute (wife's words.) Ordered a panini and pizza. Both were great! Lots of tasting breads and such.

Come early and often to Little Notch. I love their morning pastries, especially the sticky buns, and the pizza. If you want $45 olive oil or the cutesyiest salt jar or most artisanal chocolate they also have a very curated selection. A long-standing local classic!

I am writing on behalf of many people who summer on Swan’s Island. We love Little Notch bread and are very disappointed that the bakery is no longer delivering to Swan’s Island….That is the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5….
