If I could rate them 0, I would. I do not recommend this pharmacy at all, they are a massive joke. You are better off looking for a pharmacy that will take your health and medications seriously. I called in a refill for a prescription on 3/14 and went in to pick it up today 3/21, thinking a week would surely be enough time for them to have it ready. Apparently not. I spoke to George, who was entirely unhelpful and rude, and he claimed that they had reached out to my doctor’s office several times to get a refill. But this never actually happened. They frequently lie about contacting your doctor for a refill. I also wasn’t notified that they couldn’t reach my doctor’s office or that there was even an issue refilling my prescription. So I show up today, have my terrible interaction with George, and now I am without a medication that I absolutely need daily in order to manage a chronic issue. So thanks for nothing, George.

Making rude noises when they see my prescription and saying things like "I hope you have insurance". Is not only unhelpful, to the wrong patient it can be damaging. The good people working here need to remember they are critical medical staff for the community, and their behavior has impact on us.

This is a very good pharmacy.

I use this pharmacy frequently as my partner has diabetes. I’m impressed by how well the staff deals with all the mouthy, impatient customers who come in there. I’ve never had a problem there aside from occasional long lines.

My 8 year old needed some antibiotics for a significant infection. I had to wait 24 hours to get the medications because they were not on hand. When I picked them up no one asked about flavoring and I thought they must just flavor it for kids. Pharmacy tech sells me the meds and tells me refrigerate it. Get home and theres no flavoring it's plain antibiotics (disgusting). Next morning I take out the antibiotics from the refrigerator and it is gel. This is because you are not supposed to refrigerate this particular antibiotic. I go back to the pharmacy and what I got was "Sorry for the inconvenience. No we can't add flavoring because it already left the pharmacy and it is standard policy not to ask if you want it." To me this whole thing is completely unacceptable and shows how very little most people care anymore or use common sense. Pharmacy Tech and Pharmacist seemed completely unbothered by it. Very disappointing.

I really don’t know what has happened to this pharmacy, but over the last year to say they have gone downhill is a complete understatement. They used to have friendly staff that cared a year ago and now they are rude and act like you are being a nuisance to them. They don’t answer the phone and take forever to fill prescription’s. They also give you false info. If you can go to BUXTON HANNAFORD PHARMACY. They are quick and friendly. I will no longer use this pharmacy and it is because of the staff. Do better Standish !

Every time I call in the phone will just keep ringing and ringing and ringing! And then I get a message saying that“due to high call volume your call can’t be answered at this time. Please call back at a different time.”Whenever they do answer the phone, they tell me I have to wait 2 to 3 hours for my medication’s to be filled. Then when I go in to pick up my medication either, they’re not ready still! Or there is a line wrapped around the isles.I also had pain medication’s that I needed picked up, but they refuse to also fill them. This is the worst pharmacy that I have ever ever ever encounter. They definitely need to fire every pharmacist there in rehired new ones because it should not take 2-3 hours to fill a prescription, and sometimes not even be ready then. They never answer their phones, but if I’m lucky to get them on the phone, I’m greeted with someone who is clearly not liking their job because they are rude and will put me on hold for extremely long time.I do not recommend this pharmacy at all!Go to Maine, Medical Center pharmacy they will have your medication ready within 15 minutes and the people there a really nice.In fact, you can probably go to any other pharmacy, but this one and heavy medication’s within 15 minutes and treated better.

I have been going there for years. But no more. Rude, incompetent and total disregard for other peoples time. I will be going to another pharmacy out of town. The extra time driving will still be less than the amount of my time and energy this company would waste. Your prescription is NEVER ready, and it is always someone else’s fault. Sometimes they would totally forget it. I would wait days past the expected ready date to pick it up and it still wouldn’t be ready when I got there and will be told to wait while they fill it. One time they called me to tell me it was ready, and it wasn’t when I got there and still ended up waiting. When I said they had called me, I was called a liar. I have experienced most of the issues mentioned by the other bad reviewers. Standish desperately needs another pharmacy. Maybe a little competition will smarten them up.

Very nice people but apparently don't fill prescriptions for people who don't have insurance. Waited 30 minutes for them to fill it only to be told after checking several times it was out of stock. Thats fine, it isn't for a life threatening condition thankfully for me, but if they just filled the scripts anyway when it was called in 3 weeks ago instead of deciding people without insurance aren't worth the time they'd have known they needed to order it. I'll have to look for a different pharmacy if this keeps up.

You can never get through on their phone system. Every time we call you get the “high volume of calls” message. That’s right, no way to leave a message. Great business practice. The pharmacy techs were rude and not helpful when we asked about getting a prescription transferred to them from our regular pharmacy, only stopping in because our pharmacy couldn’t reach them. Keep in mind, we used to go to this pharmacy but left for this exact reason. My wife needs a prescription urgently and as usual, this pharmacy is a giant let down. It’s not all Hannaford pharmacies, just this example of what not to do in a service industry. Meds and money are two things you don’t mess up when dealing with customers. This pharmacy has proven time and again that they, in fact, are completely adept at doing both. Zero stars, do not recommend unless you like stress and drama.

Prior to Covid, the pharmacy had qualified people handling the phone and in person. I've tried to be patient for the last couple of years, but now it appears the short handed staff has pretty much reached the burn-out phase as some of them are getting pretty rude when asked a question. As my prescriptions run out, I'm now having my Doctor order refills from Walgreens. They are great there and prescriptions are filled super quick. I hope Hannaford one day gets their act together or closes down the pharmace for good!

Reading reviews and noticing that all the bad one started when the pandemic did. I do not think people give pharmacist enough credit. They certainly are over worked and very understaffed. They are blamed when a medication goes basically extinct such as Adderall. My experience at this pharmacy has been mostly great. The pharmacy techs and pharmacist have been very pleasant. The only bad times I've had is in the line, But it wasn't the pharmacy holding us up. It was most likely the customers screaming at the pharmacist. They also give my s.on stickers and he really likes that

By far the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Their lines take forever they don't fill prescriptions until you arrive in person, then have you wait an hour to fill it. They claim they are short staffed yet have had this issue for months and seem to be doing nothing to rectify the situation. If you value your time go anywhere else.

This is the closest pharmacy I have so it's my only option. This is the laziest, slowest, customer service I've ever experienced. I feel I've been lied countless times, the sense of urgency is non-existent. I work in a seasonal recreational field where is if I had this kind of work ethic I would have lost my job a long time ago. There's no accountability whereas a lot of times they'll tell you they're working on it give us 45 minutes you still need to show up the next day and they're still working on it. Someone seriously needs to be held accountable. I've had enough going somewhere else! This place needs to be shut down and reorganized. Time to start from the beginning. You're talking about people's Health here.

Been coming here for literally years, and up until tonight I’ve had a wonderful experience with people willing to go the extra mile. I’m very patient and understanding and have literally never ONCE complained. I understand they are short staffed, but today I came to pick up my meds, they weren’t ready. So I went home to drop my toddler off, and then immediately came back. Just to be told I owe $400 for my meds. Okay, so I asked if I could just have 5 of each while my insurance straightens itself out. The wonderful UNE student behind the counter was willing to help me but the new pharmacist told her “no” because they were closing in 10 minutes. Because she had already canceled the 30 day supply out, he had to go back in and change it…. Which still took him extra time. I’m EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of care from the new pharmacist. This is my first experience with him and I hope he learns better people skills if he intends to stay.
