Nice staff but the rooms were absolutely disgusting. Our “clean sheets” had hair balls and cigarette butts in them and the moldy must filled air clogged up the rooms so much that it was hard to breathe. I would recommend staying here as a last resort.

Friendly, convenient, wonderful. Right next to shops and restaurants, laundry down the street, and gas station within walking distance. Would rate higher if I could.

This place was great and conveniently located across the street from a grocery store. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Great place for hikers.

This is a review coming from a Thru-hiker. What we care about is.... Is the location close to restaurants and grocery stores and within walking distance? Yes! There were two restaurants nearby, a grocery store for resupply, and an alcohol store. For a farther walk you can find a library and a gas station with additional food options. Is a hostel an option? Yes! This morel also has a hostel with hiker boxes and a friendly dog that runs around. There is also a kayak that you can take out for free and kayak on the river behind the motel that leads to a bigger lake. Shower? Yes! Shower with towels included with actual shampoo, conditioner and body wash. You are given one toilet paper roll at a time. Beds? Yes two beds that were comfortable and for $15 extra we were allowed to have a fifth person in the room. WiFi was great and the tv had plenty to watch. Unfortunately no laundry options for hikers nor is there a laundromat in town. That was the only thing it was missing. Kitchen in the hostel.

The Stratton motel had all the amenities any hikers would want. Beds and showers were clean and comfy. We used the kitchen facilities to cook up wonderful group meals. The shuttle system was good, and the host Trout was really accommodating and super helpful. He had thru hiked last year so knew exactly what we were going through.

Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Laundry is .1 miles up the road. Hiker friendly, with grocery store across the street and restaurant next door.

Used bed linen, very dirty, basin with a watermark indicating that it had not been cleaned for a long time, I do not recommend it

Close to the Loaf, breakfast, gas and store. Don't need much else. Heaters in the room work very well, anyways able to dry our gear. Prefect for weekends.
