Kawanhee Inn is a beautiful historic inn from the 1920s located on Webb Lake, offering breathtaking and top-notch views from its porch. The atmosphere and scenery are what make this place truly special. The restaurant is known for very good to excellent food, though it is a bit expensive. Menu highlights include the excellent cowboy filet mignon, good steak with blue cheese, outstanding salmon, and delicious lobster mac and cheese. Appetizers like the onion rings, amazing scallops, and "to die for" cauliflower bites are always a must. Desserts are large, featuring a delish lava cake and a favorite strawberry rhubarb pie when available. There are also creative cocktails each year. Service is usually very good, polite, and fairly timely, though it can occasionally be slow or lackluster. The ambiance of the old cabins and dining by the water is very cool. It is recommended to make a reservation. Even for just a drink on the porch at sunset, the experience is a treat and worth the trip.
Food and drinks: Excellent drinks. The signature old fashion was awesome! The food was amazing.
