I always go to Friendly's Discount for my bad habit of smoking cigarettes. My cigs ate cheaper here than anywhere else. As far as the store, it's always clean when I come in. I would suggest you go to Martini Lane to recycle your recyclables. Friendly's stores' automated recycle machines are very picky. It doesn't accept many cans or bottles that I've put in it before. The owners say it's because the beverage had to be bought from their store. I don't know if that's actually true, but after the machine ate many of my recyclable cans, it got jammed (I don't know why, I wasn't putting a bunch in there, quickly). I asked for help from one of the owners. They came back and said, "Oh, these machines are jammed or it didn't accept your can or bottle, because you bought it elsewhere,". After that, they refused to give me the money for the recyclables that I did put in. This was the weirdest thing I've ever heard. I don't know if it was an excuse or what. So, in conclusion, my opinion of the store is: They need an employee that will always be there by 6, to open when it's time. Not this 5-10 minutes late garbage. It's not always that way, but I usually go there to be there at right about 5:56 a.m. Then 6a.m. goes by, and then it's 6:10 when someone actually is there to open the store. Again: This isn't always the case, it's just happened to me about 5 times this year. I do not drink alcohol of any kind, but if I did, as I used to, this would be a great liquor store for me. There are tons of different beers and liquors. Some of the liquors with mix in it, look and sound so amazingly, yummy to me. But, like I said, I no longer drink alcohol.
SO, IF YOU NEED CIGARETTES OR LIQUOR, THIS IS THE PLACE! I do have mixed feelings when it comes to Friendly's Discount. One woman employee is always ready with the amount of cigarette packs that I want. She asks when I walk in the door, how many I need. She makes me feel very welcome and I love how she is always on the ball with me. It leaves me feeling like she's known me for a very long time, and that can be such a nice feeling when you walk into a store. The employees can be friendly or they could be in such a mood that they make it known to customers, and that is NOT good for business. Please try to keep your personal life issues or problems at home. Please don't bring them to work?!?! It makes for far better customer service that way! 😊😊😊

Purchased a "Litty" delta 8/9 disposable vape got home it didn't work at all tried to plug it in and the thing was completely broken. Took it back to the store less than an hour later with receipt and explained the situation that they sold Me damaged merchandise and that i wanted to swap it out for one that actually worked. They said I needed to charge it. Tried to explain I tried that and it did nothing... then they tried to act like I purchased the vape elsewhere and basically said too bad they couldn't do anything for me. I've been a customer well over 10 years and went in there everyday giving them business. This...Hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Refuse to go back and give money to a bunch of crooks. Making money off broken merchandise that doesn't work.

Excellent customer service, the people who work there are courteous and know your order even before I ask. It is my go to place for a number of things. Check this place out if you are in Westbrook/Portland area.

Service sucks Morning lady is a bag and needs menstrual medicine. Always a drawn on her face. Tried returning a product and with receipt and 1 hr later they would not return (really wanted to exchange), but it was a no go.

Bought 2 vapes, was told to test in store. One vape stays running after you hit it. Showed them the issue of it wasting the fluid, before leaving the store. They tell me it’s normal for it to stay on and send me on my way with 1 broken vape… poor customer service, I can not recommend this store.

LOVE THIS STORE! Just moved here a couple months ago. SO HAPPY I FOUND this place! Came here to get smokes and a vape and keep coming back for the friendly service, quick smiles, and VERY well stocked! They literally have a little bit of everything!
