Although the food and drinks were delightful, we were left feeling flat about our experience. We arrived with a reservation, but it took a while to get service with noticeable gaps between drink ordering and ordering food. Once the live music started, which was honestly amazing, we were left looking for ear plugs because it was so loud despite us not Even being in the same room. The delays continued after our meals were finished and we opted not to order anything else, despite my desire to do so, because we weren't sure how long it might take.Overall, the food was excellent. But we'll have to watch to see if live music is going and be very flexible with our time so that it can be a positive experience.Kid-friendliness: If your kids are noise-sensitive be prepared with ear plugs. I'm glad my child wasn't with me because she would have wanted to leave as soon as the music started.

We were fortunate to get the last table!Parking: Within 300 feet of Frog and turtle there were free spaces that were available in more quantity due to that being a Sunday .

It’s 4am and I have one thing to get off of my chest. Frog and Turtle makes the BEST seafood chowder i have ever had the pleasure and honor of indulging in. I think about this chowder when i’m daydreaming in the shower, when i’m in the middle of life altering conversations, at weddings, at funerals, when i’m with my lover, when i’ve just eaten the most delectable treat; the thought plaguing the back of my mind… the one thing i know to be true…. is that no earthly pleasures will ever come close to the peace and satisfaction that this seafood chowder gives me. I’ve tried to make something remotely close so so many times to no avail, so i’ve come to the conclusion that a magical chowder fairy lives in frog and turtles kitchen and sprinkles its magic into this soup and whispers sweet nothings into the chefs ear while they prepare it, therefore there is no way anything could ever replicate that pure magic, and i am okay with that.

This is our favorite restaurant and we go here for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions! It is located just 10 minutes from our house…you can’t beat that! The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. We seem to make friends with our servers every time we are in there. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody!

Delicious food and excellent service! Highly recommend the shepherds pie crepes and chocolate mousse dessert. Lots of other things on the menu that we'd like to try. Would also like to check out the upstairs and the deck when the weather is nice. It's been many years since we've been here but it won't be too long before we go back.

Totally empressed with the way the restaurant was decorated, especially the upstairs. Very warm and inviting ambiance. Our waitress, Abbey was extremely professional and very pleasant. The food was great with the exception of the coleslaw. All in all, great experience and will definitely will return.

Wonderful brunch! The food is fabulous (gotta try those donuts!). Service was wonderful as usual and just an overall pleasant experience. Just remember that it is an energetic place - nice vibe but your party is not always able to hear each other during a conversation lol. Highly recommend!

Our server was amazing!! Fun, friendly, and very efficient!!! The food was absolutely fabulous!!!! Only complaint is the noise level - we did ask to be moved in the back where the tables are because it was just so loud in there we could not hear each other speak!

Setting was nice, we sat upstairs near the fireplace, very peaceful. Service by waitstaff was mediocre. Only two people sitting at the bar yet took forever to get drinks made and served at our table as we observed bartender folding silverware into napkins. charcuterie boards were good. Both the dessert and cheese platter. Rest of the food was just OK. Heard they had a great brunch. Maybe we'll try that.

The Frog and Turtle is always my go to for amazing food in the Greater Portland area. The fish and chips is the absolute best! You get 2 gigantic pieces of fresh haddock with homemade chips and coleslaw, the homemade tartar sauce is also delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about the delicious meal I ate last night. If you haven't tried the Frog please visit for an amazing foodie experience. They are also a great place for free live music.

Um, I respect menu says expect 30 mins for food. Fine. By 15 mins for coffee? 47 minutes for donut holes?? One HOUR and TWENTY minutes for food?? Nope. Nope. Nope. That is two hours of my life I won't get back. And could we get coffee refills? Not without pulling teeth. My time is just too valuable. Food was great. Service and amount of time, not so much.

Frog and Tittle have the best brunch going. The Benedict's are awesome. The poached eggs always cooked just right with their in house sauces. The best breakfast potatoes in the state. Their in house Bloody Mary mix is tops! Can't wait for our next brunch!

So very disappointing!Returned to Maine after 10 yrs & remembered F & T as a wonderful environment as well as a culinary enjoyment.Wow!! Not the same !Waited @ bar for party to get there. Bartender was mire interested in football game then patrons. Asked for drop of Chambord in flute of garbage flat champagne & his remark was " I'd have to go downstairs for that!" So no Chambord. Apparently thay would have been putting him out of his way!The atmosphere is more one of a saloon/ diner now.Waitress was sweet & polite; however clueless. Knew nothing about wines; not that it mattered- they were out of everything. Settled for a white & red ( both screw cap - not sure staff would have been able to uncork)The wines(both) were unpalatable. CVS across the street had better. They had limited menu- 5 entrées listed & out of the beef. Then few apps, salads & burgers were nothing shortof Applebees w/ no "oh wow" factor! We overhead waitresses chatting negative comments about internal issues & patrons. And ourd obviously told kitchen I did not ask for dressing on side- which my table verified I had - asked 3 times.Bathrooms clean.Meal TERRIBLE!Order wrong- Burgercharred burnt on outside, totally raw & cold on inside! Dressing not only on salad but tossed.THE entire experience was less than below average.Icing on cake. Not that we would have ever returned; however the owner/ "chef"( James) came out to tables. RUDELY he argued about incorrect poor meals when asked for our opinion. Obviously he was told about salad dressing.Even if I did not say in side- which I did( X3) the customer is always right & that is no way to build patrons.James appeared to be impaired & was agitated while sipping on a glass of something that looked like whiskey. After reading the comments from F&G / James; it all makes sense that this place should be shut down. If he had any clue about how F&B business worked we wouldn't be reading these rude negative comments. Anyone can right a 5 star & beef it up- however the track record of reviews are a true testimony of F&T's terrible performances.Possibly the State of Maine's Inspector should do a surprise visit to see what is going on here.Don't waste your time or money here. Such a shame they went downhill.Possibly if owner payed more attention to details @ his restaurant's demise rather than being in denial & argumentative; his establishment needs repairs- get out of denial!!IF we could have left a less than 1 * review- we would have.VERY DISAPPOINTING
