One star because this has nothing to do with the Home Depot employees, they are fine workers. However, when we purchased an appliance we were informEd by the employee that delivery could be a nightmare and they were right. On the first scheduled delivery day the driver called from Oxford looking for our location which was in Windham. After giving him directions he then must have realized how far it was and said the dishwasher was unable to be installed due to missing a tube. When calling to reschedule they read a note saying we didn't answer the door. Second attempt, we explained the hours we were available and they still scheduled it for when we were at work. Third delivery attempt, after waiting at home all morning for the delivery, they never showed up or even called. Again I called customer service the following Monday and they were told from the delivery truck that the dishwasher was damaged. Even if it was damaged, nobody thought to call and notify us so we could move along with our day. After we called to try and resolve after 3 failure, it took two days and 5 transfers to get a refund. We would recommend if you need an appliance/ delivery to shop elsewhere.

I travel from Portland to Windham to shop as the staff is so helpful and friendly. We bought our kitchen w the excellent help and suggestions of Nancy, a kitchen designer, and are very pleased! I can't thank the staff enough for their attention and their helpful service. We will definitely be back!!

I ordered a custom Jeld-Wen patio door on July 14, 2020. It is now February 5th, 2021 (nearly 8 months later) and I still do not have a working door. A door set was eventually delivered very late and installed, but it was defective. After weeks of communicating with with the manufacturer Jeld-Wen, they admitted the door was defective and committed to replace it. That was 10 weeks ago. I was notified a few days ago that it would be at least another 8 weeks before the replacement would be shipped. If that happens (and that's still a big IF), it will be at least 10 months from the day we paid for the door. Having spoken to many people, sending many emails, placing many phone calls, driving to the store multiple times and standing at the customer service desk for literally hours and have to reexplain the problem each time to a new person, we are still waiting. The local store customer service people do not respond, do not return calls. This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had...and it's still ongoing. I am now preparing to file a small claims case. Draw your own conclusions.

I had my reservations using HD for my entire kitchen design. Once I spoke with Nancy Haluzak in their kitchen design department that was one fear laid to rest. Her experience, competence and attention to detail saved me from going off the deep end with this kitchen. I had never designed a kitchen, I had no idea how I was going to get what I wanted with my budget and in the space I had to work with. Nancy helped me find my vision, from the design to the cabinets and countertops. I love my new kitchen and miracles do happen because everything went off with all most no hitches, in a pandemic, in 2020!!. The young man David Pepin that measured my kitchen and installed my cabinets was awesome also. He was very organized, professional and able to think outside the box with a few issues that always crop up with an old house. We are still awaiting windows to be installed in the kitchen and the sunroom or I would attach photos, once that is done I will. I am hoping everything goes as well with them as it has so far with the kitchen. I will update with pictures once it is all done.

was at the windham store looking for a particular adhesive. Asked an older gentleman where I could find H H 66 cement. His answer “how the hell should I know” was not the rude answer I was looking for. Your employee lost you a customer.

I must say, I had a horrific experience with Atlantic Transport systems installing our dishwasher today, but Taylor at the Windham location listened to my account of what happened and acted upon it.

I just had my kitchen design done, with the help and guidance of Nancy their highly competent and immensely patient designer. The cabinets are ordered and I was forewarned that everything is running behind due to COVID. This is expected for the appliances also. We are using their contractor to install them, he did the measurements also.

Incompetent service. Wanted a new refrigerator for lake cabin. Shopping on the phone, was told to go to the North Windham store because they would have a better delivery schedule for that area. Drove 25 minutes to get there, bought appliance, found out delivery schedule was the same. Warned them it was a camp road, was told no problem - they used panel truck. Took a day off work and went up to camp especially to receive delivery and the driver was in a big truck, refused to drive it down the road. I went back to the store in person, tried to arrange delivery in smaller truck, was told rather rudely "I can't make them use a smaller truck." Cancelled order. Refund never went onto my card. Today I get a call telling me I have to come into the store personally for the refund, even though that is where I was when I canceled the order. Evidently the refund was processed incorrectly. I am done with Home Depot, and you should be, too.

No one at the paint counter while I was there I rang the bell two different times another guy rang it once before I did and no one came over after waiting for awhile I decided to go to Lowe's for faster service which I got at Lowe's not impressed with this store !!!! Don't think I will be shopping at this home depot any more service is horrible!!!!!!!!!!

Really bad customer service.. treated me like a criminal for some reason and then when they got nothing and looked like idiots, they still give me attitude.. pathetic place to go. I would rather go online and screw the people there, they dont deserve jobs anyway, thats why there work at a place like this

Sadly this is just going off of your delivery company. I order a fridge over a month ago to have it delivered when I was on vacation. The company Atlantic Transport did not call or deliver our fridge the day they said they would. We got a call the night before saying it would be here between 1-5 it's almost 6 and no word. The company closes at 4 so there is no one to give us any answers on where my fridge is. Home Depot you need a better delivery service.

BEST Home Depot in the area (maybe even the world). These folks care (shocking, I know). They know about home improvement and the products they carry, and they have gone out of their way to help me with anything... Literally. Most recently I returned to this store after an orbital sander that I had purchased a year prior (a ryobi) started to die. The motor was going and I had barely used the thing. So I went to the returns desk and asked if there was anything they could do. The woman said no, so I went to shop for a new sander. As I walked down the isle, with my old broken sander in hand, an associate named David, asked if he could help me and I explained my issue. David was surprised and said he wanted me to have a good experience, so he would give me a discount on a new sander of my choice! What?!? Customer satisfaction and service at a major chain?? Shocking!!! So I picked out a new Makita sander and he gave me 25$ off. Since (and prior to) this visit I have gone there with questions that have been answered and have received service with a smile. It is my local, go to, hardware store.
