Jennifer showed exemplary customer service to my husband and me today. She worked hard to figure out how to special-order shelving on a store credit, then met us at the checkout counter to make sure we had everything we came for. Thank you, Jennifer! You represent Lowe's exceptionally well. We appreciate your assistance.--Jeff and MJ Howe

We purchased a dishwasher, range and refrigerator. The first two appliances were fine but the refrigerator arrived damaged TWICE. We've spent two afternoons waiting for the delivery truck and had to shuffle cold foods around to keep it from perishing during the transfer from one fridge to the other and now we're stuck waiting to get an undamaged fridge. This hasn't been a great experience.

Very difficult situation that we had at Lowe's. I had wanted some blinds cut and could not find an associate. So I went to the register and asked and they said they would page someone. After several minutes of waiting and several pages over the intercom, still nobody came. We talked to another associate who pressed the 'help' button that would automatically page over the intercom. After several of these, we got the assistant manager, who came over and he informed us that he could not help us either, as he wasn't trained to cut on the machine for blinds and shades (managers should really be trained to operate the store's machinery in case of an emergency). He called several more associates and none knew how to cut blinds either. Keep in mind, this was hours before their closing so I would assume that there would be at least one trained associate working daily. Apparently the employee had called out that day, and nobody else in the store knew how to do it. We finally, after about 25+ minutes of waiting, got someone over to the department (hooray!). The blinds I had considered were not able to be cut, but the equivalents were too expensive, so I asked about a roller shade instead. The associate who came to help us took a phone call after starting to help us which took about 10 minutes of additional waiting. And once he had finished, he promptly said that he didn't know how to use the machine to cut the roller shades...after we had waited while he had taken a phone call. He did offer us 10% off our next purchase. I'm just a bit upset that there are only one or two trained employees at a time for this department, and I can understand the staffing shortage, but really they should train more of their existing employees to know how to cut blinds and shades to avoid situations like this in the future.

Shopped here today. Outside line moved quickly. Employees were pleasant and very helpful. Thank you to the young woman that helped us with a Craftsman tool box. Shame on me for forgetting her name. She also helped us with a compressor and dusted off the box before helping my husband but it on the flatbed carraige.

Tons of things to look at

My husband and I shop here pretty frequently. I wanted to give them a quick review, since one of the employees was very helpful last night. We bought a sliding glass door from the Lowes in North Conway (we are right on the ME / NH border, so we're close to both). It didn't come with any instructions, but our contractor knew how to put it in, so that was fine. After it was put in he was slightly freaking out. He said that the door had to put been put together incorrectly at the factory as there weren't any drainage holes at the bottom. The employees at the store in N Conway were very rude and refused to call us back. So when we went to this one to grab some boards my husband told the employee about this situation, and asked for advice. He told him that it does have the drainage holes at the bottom. There's a cover you need to pull out that will expose them (he showed him exactly how to do it), the wheels on our door are also broken. He told him that if it is in fact brand new (Which it is), then if he had gotten it there they'd let him just bring the door in and they'll give him a new one. Instead of putting different wheels on which he said can sometimes be a pain in the butt to do. I'm slightly bummed that we didn't get it here (in Windham) now. We can't seem to get a hold of anyone at the lowes store we bought our sliding glass door from. Yet were able to get an answer from this employee pretty quickly.

My wife ordered a fridge and the store said it will be delivered in 11 days. The day comes and goes and no fridge. Our old fridge is about dead. Call the store and they state it's still in Connecticut, it will be here next week and they set a date for delivery. That day comes and goes with no fridge. Old fridge is dead. Using coolers for food now. Call the store and they state they have no idea where it is. At this time, it's to late to get a refund and go to Home Depot. They use the same distributor! New fridge is still in Connecticut. They set yet another date for delivery 25 sept, 22 days since order was placed. Still no fridge. Lowes text service states it's not even at the store! So here we sit. No fridge. Three days taken off from work for 3 no delivery no shows. And no set clue as to when or if we will ever get the new fridge. All I can get is "Sorry bout that" from Lowes. Unacceptable!

I just bought a fridge here after mine went kaput. We went because of the sale they were having and time constraints with delivery. They were the only store that could bring us a fridge in the next few days with $0 delivery charge. There was one very helpful associate, Cynthia, in the appliance department, but other than that, people didn't seem to give a flying f*c* about anything going on in the store. Cynthia was helping another couple with a fridge and there was another woman who had been working on the computer, but didn't greet anyone and disappeared as soon as customers showed up. So we waited, and waited, and waited. While we were waiting, another customer showed up from the carpet dept. and asked if someone could be paged because there was no one around. Maybe Cynthia was the only one doing any work in the whole store? She eventually got to us and did a great job quickly entering our info for the delivery of our new appliance. Amazingly enough, as soon as she started helping us, the other woman showed up from the nether regions of the store... Hmm? Where were you while we waited for 20+ minutes? Did the guy in carpets ever get someone to help him? Will Timmy get out of the well? The Saga continues... The customer service here, despite good ol' Cynthia, seemed lacking at best. I will continue to frequent Home Depot across the street, where I have received some of the most amazing service since my long gone, hometown hardware store. Good to know for me, a local.

This is my first review. I was so happy with the service and guidance from the employees at this store that I had to post. Not pushy and very polite.

We love having this Lowe's fairly close to our summer vacation lake home in Naples. We bought all our decking and porch railings, bathroom and kitchen sinks, insulated garage doors and lots more there and everything was very nice quality. One summer, our dryer failed and we had to have one delivered for the next Saturday, and Lowe's was the only place that could guarantee delivery. We also got a gas grille there. Really high quality with cast iron grates. All put together, loaded it into the truck, and it was ready to go when we got home. They carry very high quality products for a very fair price. Garden center has very nice plants also.
