“I wanted to share my wonderful experience at Smitty's in Windham. We went to see the new Minions movie (My nine year-old great nephew's choice).

This isn't about the movie itself, this is about the experience.

Abby was our server and she was wonderful!

We were all about getting those waffle fries, and man, were they delicious! Sidenote: The leftovers were just as good reheated in the air fryer the next day. We ordered the chicken tenders to go with the waffle fries, and one of their shakes. My nephew really enjoyed the shake. The chicken tenders were also delicious! I was half expecting them to be a little overcooked and dry, but that was not the case.

One does not typically think of a movie theater as a place to go for lunch/dinner, but when you can see a movie and eat some really decent food, it's a win-win.

If you have not been in a while, choose a movie and go order the chicken tenders with waffle fries. You can thank me later.. ;)”

“My wife and I had our wedding ceremony at the Portland Masonic in the Armory room. The ornate and historical architecture made for a great venue. Nicki, the coordinator, was great to work with and was instrumental in making sure our ceremony went as planned. It was the perfect size for our 100 person wedding (though it could definitely accomodate a larger group). Nicki had a lot of great recommendations for making the space work well for us and we loved getting some photos taken in the historical elevators.

“Intimate venue that is great for performers. First come, first seated - but there are only about 15 rows of seats, so just about every seat has a good view. First row seats are right at the edge of the stage, and there is additional seating in the balcony which offers a great view from above the musicians.”

“The Inn at Fogg Farm was the perfect location for our wedding. We are local residents and were thrilled to find such a beautiful spot so close to our home. We booked the location a year in advance, and Peggy, the wonder was available to us all year to help with questions, support and planning. When I had the desire to visit the venue in the dead of winter, she made it happen. When I wanted to come back a month later, she accommodate. She was very easily reachable by text or phone and was lovely to talk to in person. All my wedding dreams came true. Not only is the inside of the barn beautiful, but we also had access to the guest house where my family and I got ready on the wedding day. And the land the barn lives on is stunning. People played games, kids ran around, the pizza truck we had easily fit in the driveway area, it was fabulous. We received lots of compliments about how beautiful and perfect the venue was and we couldn't agree more. We highly recommend this venue for your wedding or event. We hope to use it again in the future!

“Had a birthday party for my 7 year old here. We had Jack and Davie help us out. They were both incredibly professional and did such a nice job helping to entertain the kids. Everybody had such a blast. Would highly recommend throwing a party here.”

“This post is amazing, I was semi-connected with it over a decade ago and while I was having fun, then it did involve a lot Partying. It's a different story now, for many reasons That I will not go into it this time. The leadership there is incredible, welcoming, and more social oriented. They hold many dances, Public dinners, events like poker and bingo To mention but a few. To get an idea of the place drop in on a Monday Night from 4 o'clock on and check out the Bingo operation. There's no drinking while you're playing bingo. But you may have a drink at the bar while you're waiting Everyone there was a volunteer no one gets paid in 42 people had a good time last night. This is just one example of the many things they do. Money raise goes to many causes but one eye, especially like is a scholarship for kids going to trade school. Even if you are not a veteran of a foreign war, if you are related to one, you can join the auxiliary, men or women, Check it out”

“My wife and I had our wedding reception at 33 Elmwood. It was the perfect place for us to have it and they did an amazing job! They went above and beyond our wildest expectations and made the whole event incredibly special for us. They were super on top of communicating with us and made it super easy to plan our reception. Ice and the rest of the staff thought of so many things that we just hadn't considered, from making sure my wife and I got food, to handling the cake, giving us loads of recommendations, and so much more.

All of our guests loved 33 Elmwood as well, from the food to the drinks to the activities and ambiance. The food options were great and Ice was super helpful in helping us figure out how much we needed for our guests. We were able to completely customize the drink menu, and we personally really enjoyed the fact that the signature drinks had both mocktail and cocktail versions since we don't really drink and the younger guests could enjoy them too.

We were very touched by how kind everyone at 33 Elmwood was. Overall they have an amazing crew and we couldn't recommend them more for hosting your events.”

“The NYE parties are always great. Food selection could be a bit better. There are not a lot of options for people with dietary restrictions.
The staff is always nice. I left my phone after a party, and they had it locked up in a very safe space.”

“I've photographed several weddings at O'Maine Studios and it's such a special venue! I love that it has an industrial feel that couples can make their own. It's also such a treat to be able to be downtown in Portland and get creative with photo spots around the venue. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a unique and fun downtown wedding venue!”

“Great experience from beginning to end. Gentleman in the proshop couldn't have been nicer. Starter was great as well. I have worked at golf courses for over 30 years as a starter, proshop attendant, and on the grounds crew in the summer while teaching. I'm always cognizant of pace of play and this was awesome. Played on a packed Friday morning and played in a shade under 4 hours. The course itself was top notch. Fairways were pure and the greens were perfect. I was here from Philadelphia for a wedding and play all over the place down there. The $100 green fees, especially after covid, is not exorbitant. The public course i work at charges $95 and does not have as interesting layout as this one. Really fun and interesting layout here. Kudos to the superintendent. He's doing a fantastic job. As a side note, people who complain about divots are silly. If the golfer doesn't fix em they take a while to heal. That's not the courses problem. I play over 100 times a year. They're everywhere I've played. Myrtle, Pinehurst, even Pebble Beach. It's the rude golfers of this era that is the problem”

“It was a nice hotel, clean rooms, clean beds at a decent price. They had a nice little breakfast in the morning, not just cereal muffins but they had a nice little selection of eggs and bacon and breads.”

“Nice and scenic place. Large covered area, picnic tables, food trucks. Band played and children played. Dog friendly.....they also have a bar area. Very nice setup.”
