Restrooms needed attention and the parking lot cart corrals were overflowing. There was no greeter, there was a queue at the register and generally not a great experience. Some Walmarts are great, some Walmarts are not great. This one is in the latter category. Several shelves were missing merchandise, too. A poor showing for my first Walmart in the great state of Maine. [Review 18552 overall - 104 in Maine - 2074 of 2022.]

Been here a bunch of times. Met the store manager, she was very kind and helpful. She helped repair my glasses when they were broken. A lot of long-timers here. The staff here have worked their way up through the ranks. Which makes them happy to be where they are. All friendly helpful and happy to help. The store itself has gone through a major overhaul. They have solar panels on the roof, way to go for them. They have Walmart pay which is well a whole other beast. They have added a park and shop, which I haven't tried however I know a lot of people who like it, They have had good experiences using it. There is a five-county credit union inside for convenience. They have a Dunkin's inside which works with the Dunkin's app. The tire and service center is a toss-up it's rarely staffed correctly however if on the off chance you manage to find it staffed fully you might get good service and installation. They had gun cases however I am Not sure if they will be selling guns or not. They all but closed up Their seafood section. I've never had good luck with their meats if your feeling daring have at it... However, I find that to be a staple of most Walmart stores not only this one. Produce in this store is pretty good, Large selection while culled produce. also as previously stated the staff has been a while so a lot of them have regulars. The store itself is kept very clean and fresh, Which is a huge concern these days. Electronics is always busy, especially with it being blended into their cellular sales department. Hardware is not anything special, Very basic selection. Toys standard variety. The pet section has a number of standard pet foods and toys, Their fish section is still up however last time I was there. The tanks were not filled. They have a pharmacy along with a good section of basic over the counter meds. They have increased their cosmetics section so you should have no trouble finding what you want. Lawn and garden has not changed much, Very standard. All in all the store is standard in most things that Walmart does. The staff being familiar and friendly here is a huge plus, however. Along with their cleaning staff making sure everyone is safe and healthy.

I'm hoping that the right people will read this and things will change. I'm writing this on July 22nd, 2020 and in the state of Maine it is mandatory that when you go into public places you have to wear a mask. However in the Windham Walmart they are not enforcing this and endangering the rest of the customers in their store. Also I've personally witnessed some of their employees simply wearing their masks like a chin strap not covering the mouth or nose and I've also seen employees pulling their masks down to not only talk to each other but also talk to customers and into their walkie-talkies. Worst of all, as most of the employees go outside for their breaks they walk through the same in and out doors next to the customers and their masks are nowhere in site. All of this in the direct vicinity of the customers in the store. I understand that some people can't wear masks for various reasons but if that's the case then they shouldn't be going to places like Walmart putting themselves and the people they encounter in danger. Walmart has online ordering and curbside pick up, they could get a family member or friend to go in for them, you can even order online and have that order shipped to your house. Walmart in Windham needs to step up and start taking care of their customers' and associates' health and well-being by strictly enforcing the state mandate of no masks-no entry. By letting people without masks into their store they are showing that they don't believe in the CDC recommendations, they don't believe in the scientific evidence of mask wearing, and they don't feel that they need to follow the state mandate. Very, very disappointing from what is supposed to be a family store who claims to care about their customers and associates.

I want to say that the woman controlling the line, at the entrance to the Windham Walmart, is the kindest person!! She will always be essential!! In fact, she is creating a space where it is hard for people to freak out! All people should be like her!!

I ordered a white rocking chair on line. Put it together and TWO DAYS later on of the seat slays broke. I called Walmart in Windham THREE times before I got someone at customer service that told me I could return the chair to the store. I carried the chair thru my house it in the car. Not an easy task! Then drove to the store and carried it into the store. Wait at customer service to be told I can't return the chair to the store because even though I ordered it on line , Walmart lets other vendors to use their on one and my chair is in fact from another vendor! I tried contacting the vendor no answer. Filed s complaint with Walmart MasterCard. Then was connected to Walmart . Com. However they were having I g difficulty with their phones. I know I ordered the chair from Walmart.com. But the store told me I return it there. And as far as I am concerned I ordered the chair thur Walmart! all info, barges etc were from WALMART!!!

This Walmart has it all. Real big store. They have reasonable prices and a decent beer and wine section. I always find what I'm looking for when I shop here.

I was not impressed with Cameron on register 9 this morning (Sunday Aug 27th). It was obvious he seemed irritated that he had to be on a register. Not pleasant at all. Not a hello or a goodbye. I felt extremely rushed and almost forgot bags. Get him off the registers.

Don't go online look up the things at Windham Walmart because whatever it says they don't have it in the store don't waste your time and your gas to get there to look for it

I can't believe I am waiting in line at Walmart to purchase a Samsung Chromebook. There are only seven sent to each store and I hope I can get one. Well, the time finally came and the doors opened. I was pretty much on my own as I maneuvered my way through the store in my attempt to find where the items I was looking for were.r The map they provided was useless to me because the print was tiny and I didn't have my glasses with me. I could have left my place in line to get them, but would it be worth it. I think not! I am not sure that would have helped either because the young man in front of me couldn't read the print either. Well the Chromebook was high priority and I headed for the computer section. I found a customer represtative and asked where I could find the deal on the Chromebook and he directed me to the counter where a sales clearkt reached under the counter and handed me the prize. I believe I was the first to get one and to be perfectly honest, it felt great! Now, with my prized Chromebook in hand, I began my quest for the other two electronic items I wanted. Once again I asked and was told that the items I sought after could be located in the grocery main aisle of the store. I headed in that direction as the store began to fill up with what seemed to be thousands of hungry ants. I found the speaker bar quickly and grabbed one. It was pretty awkward to carry, but afterall, I did have a mission. I needed to find my last item, the Chromecast device. As I was looking for it, I saw one of those 3D viewers and grabbed it. I was a sight with my arms full of stuff and to make matters worse everytime I turned I whacked somebody with the long speaker box. I finally decided to find a carriage to put my loot in. Once I has secured a carriage I began looking for the ever ellusive Chromecast device. Finally, I found it and made my way to the checkout to buy my items. After a quick checkout I headed for the car and then home. My overall experience was pretty good. I was a bit cold, but the friendly conversation and deals were well worth it. I am not sure I'll do it next year, but who knows what deals they will have?

Lapin and I came here to pick up a couple of basic items. This Walmart has fresh produce along with a bakery. The store seemed to have no organization and the aisles are very confusing. The staff were polite but not very helpful. The lines are manageable but can get long during busy times. Also, double check your receipt, I was overcharged by $3 for frozen shrimp.

"Ah. God. What am I doing here?" Are often the words I utter when I step into a Walmart. Any Walmart. I am biased. I can't stand to shop here. Unfortunately, like ever other American, sometimes, I do. This place is gigantic. It has everything. It's open all the freaking time. It's Walmart. It's my own personal hell. But when I have no time to go 3 places, sometimes I will go to hell and back. The times I check in here I cringe and quickly make my way through the enormous isles while judging myself and everyone around me... Then I leave.

Very poor customer service for a brick and mortar business trying to compete with the internet. We went to Walmart (North Windham, Maine) to buy a flat screen TV. We chose to buy locally and not on-line and wanted to buy the TV that day. We went into the electronics department and reviewed the various choices and decided on a particular model. We asked the woman at the electronics desk for some help and she indicated that she was not able to help us (not sure why), but he would get someone to help us. She cornered the next sales associate coming out of the stock room and aked her to help us. this sales associated rolled her eyes and then looked to see if anyone else was around that could help us. However, there were no other associates, so she helped us. She explained that the model we wanted was not on display as it was the same as one that was, but was a Smart TV. That made sense, so we asked if they had any in stock, she said yes. The sales associated went out back and found the TV and brought it to the register so we could check out. She tried to complete the sale, but the system would not allow her to sell the product to us. She threw her hands up and said "I can't sell this to you." I was speechless, I've never had that happen. The product was advertised, it was in front of me, and there were others in stock, but they wouldn't sell it to us. She said something like "Home office issue, nothing we can do about it." The sales associated next to here indicated the same thing happened the day before!!! I asked if a manager could override the restriction and she said no. I turned around and thought about other options including other models, but when I turned around the sales associated was gone. She didn't offer any other options, didn't hang around to see if we had any questions, and honestly just seemed to be happy we were no longer her worry. I'll purchased it on-line at a lower price with free 2-day delivery on Amazon. Tough for brick and mortar businesses to compete with this kind of customer service. I doubt I'll buy anything of consequence at Walmart any more.
