Looking for a new recliner lift chair as one we have is old and needed one that could recline further. Not only was the selection great but they went out of their way to give me their best price. Sarah was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. No pressure sale. Only buy from Fortin’s. Their service is great and they always go out of their way to help their customers. If you are looking for furniture or appliances Fortin’s is the only place to go. John D.

Had a wrinkle in a service call Tuesday. Today Mike called me himself. I can not tell how impressed I am. The owner of the company calling me and inviting my wife and I in to see him. Within 5 steps of getting in the store we were greeted by a friendly smiling salesperson. We told him our name and there to see Mike. He replied , yes he is looking for you. Wow, the owner let his team know we were coming in. Shortly Mike was greeting us, and handled everything from the item, the pricing and speaking to the delivery team. Mike even upgraded us to a GE Profile for roughy $150.00 more. I have been in retail most of my life, and know how tough it can be. I believe you owe it to yourself to shop Fortin's. On top of great friendly salesmanship.. .Their team delivers the product it sells. Not an outside company like an unnamed big box. Plus his team stands behind the product, they service their merchandise. Again unlike a few other large box stores. Seriously shop Fortin's.

I have bought many high end applappliances from Fortins because I prefer to shop local and support local businesses. However, during the pandemic I ordered a new Maytag washer and dryer for darn close to $3000. After 12 days of it not showing up, I called the owner. A family can't go a month without a washer/dryer. I had to settle for what they had in stock. I settled on a GE washer/dryer. It gets used once a day and it's 18 months old and the inside under the lid is peeling. I am soooo pissed as I take good care of my stuff. I called service and was told that's not covered under my extended warranty I purchased as that is cosmetic. The rude lady in service said, if you aren't happy call GE! I'm done, I'll never shop at Fortins again if they don't stand behind what they sell. Your rude employees are going to cause you to go out of business! Btw, the guys who delivered it and set it up were fantastic. But my alarm bell should have gone off when the guy setting up the new machine said, don't expect this machine to last like your Maytag! A local business needs to stand by what they sell.

We have bought appliances and furniture from Fortin's. We find their products to be of superior quality and fairly priced. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and service is exemplary. The Winslow showroom is worth a visit!

I bought a refrigerator, a dishwasher, stove, and 3 bedrooms of furniture from fortins at one time. After a year the ice maker quit in the refrigerator and I was told to call the manufacturer which got nothing accomplished. After 3 years the dishwasher leaked and ruined my floor. Of course I was told to call the manufacturer. They are quick to sale you something and not to get back to you when there is an issue. Beware of this company. The state of Maine has a 4 year consumer protection law that people should look into on appliances. For example the useful life expectancy on a dishwasher is 10 years. So with ours leaking from the pump and swelling our floor up after 3 years it should be covered under this law.

I went in there a few times and the customer service was seriously lacking. They acted like I was bothering them. The owner's wife is out right hostile to other woman in the community. I will never shop there again. I just recently bought all new furniture for my home and would rather travel any distance than go to this local establishment.

We recently purchased a dryer. As our place was rented out, we needed it urgently and was purchasing it remotely. I chose the wrong size. I called Dennis at Fortin's who quickly found the correct model, took back the original (which had been made to side vent which is apparently harder for them to sell again) and replaced with the only extra money being the difference in cost between the machines-- no re-shelving fee, no repeat pickup/delivery fee. If you want customer service, this is the place to go.

Shopped other places and online. Saved $400. Quick and easy experience when we arrived at the store. The online person was great, no pressure. The sales person was nice. The warehouse guy was excellent. He is not afraid of work. He is underpaid. ?

I wish I could rate Fortin’s Furniture with less than a star. I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses. I am in the market for new living room furniture A friend recommended Fortin’s. I stopped by this afternoon to browse sofas. I spent a few minutes walking through their showroom, sitting on several sofas that appealed to me. I was completely ignored by the staff. An older couple entered the showroom shortly after I did and were quickly attended to. Another shopper entered and waquickly assisted as well. An associate walked past me twice while I was browsing and did not acknowledge me. I was embarrassed and left the store. My experience at Fortin’s was humiliating

Bosch lists Fortins as one of their three service providers in Maine, but neither they or the other two providers will provide service to anyone who didn't purchase from them. Despite this Bosch tells me they sent a service request to Fortins weeks ago but Fortins claims to have never received it.
