“I’m not an art collector, so I was a little intimidated about entering this place at first. The window displays are always so beautifully and perfectly curated that I wasn’t quite sure whether it was the kind of place where I could just walk in and browse. I’m glad we did. Julee immediately made us feel welcome and at ease. She is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the pieces they carry. Also, she really seemed to enjoy introducing us to things that caught our eye and sharing the stories behind them. We never felt any pressure that we needed to buy something - just a genuine enthusiasm for interesting art and antiques that makes exploring the shop so much more enjoyable. And there is a lot to explore! Their selection is super eclectic and beautifully curated, with everything from fine art and antiques, to furniture, sculpture, and (especially fun) unusual pieces that are difficult to categorize. Even if you aren’t a collector, it’s definitely a fascinating and genuinely fun place to browse! The inventory has been different each time I’ve gone in, so it’s always worth popping over to take a look. We never know what we’ll discover. Don’t skip this place when you’re in Wiscasset!”

“My family and I happened to come up to Wiscasset last week (to try the iconic Red's Eats next door). Knowing it would be a long wait, my mom and I went to Sylvan Gallery to peruse the local art. Ann (a very talented artist herself) made us feel so welcome. She is very informative about the pieces and artists in the gallery and a pleasure to converse with. We ended up leaving with a few lovely postcards from there. I highly recommend stopping over!”
