I never write reviews, but in this case I’m very happy to say this place really seems to get the meaning of service. Brought in our MB sprinter LTV and they were extremely helpful throughout. Then a couple days later got a phone call to follow up and make sure our rig is good to go. Who does that? Will definitely return.Service: Auto maintenance

I recently moved to the area and was looking for high caliber BMW auto service. Fortunately, Atlantic Motorcar Center was near me. I was not only satisfied with their work, but also their professionalism and the facility’s cleanliness. I believe their work space would reflect the same. I found Bruce to be factual, honest, and fairly priced. I will be a repeat customer.

From the initial contact, written thorough evaluation report with photos, detailed price quote, update reports on repair status and review of completed work these guys are true professionals. Bruce and his team were fabulous. We are the road for 2 months in our Sprinter diesel van motorhome, and I was unable to find any Mercedes Sprinter service that could perform service for multiple weeks. Bruce was able to squeeze us in as we were passing through. Thorough review of our Sprinter, excellent summary report and fortunately no major issues identified. Needed some extensive recommended scheduled maintenance as well as an engine light on my ‘13 Rover sport. New to AMC but they fit me right in and even found a loaner (they have twelve) for me to drive for the week. Completely transparent experience from issues found to cost estimate which was on the nose and just a bit lower than expected. Excellent communication throughout the time the vehicle was being serviced. Hands down the best experience all around from any dealer/repair/garage. I will be taking all my business to AMC from now on. Bruce is a legit car guy (as is his whole team), and he’s in business for ALL the right reasons. Check AMC out…you will not be disappointed.

Rarely do I leave a negative review but I will make an exception for Atlantic Motorcar Center. My wife's 2013 VW Golf TDI needed a clutch and our normal shop was booked eight weeks out so she tried Atlantic... $5,000+ later the clutch is like new.My wife has owned VW's for decades and she knows the difference between good and poor service. Attention to detail doesn't mean you focused on "thank you" brownies. It means getting things right.-Sevice light was not reset.-Tire inflation light was not reset.-Left emergency cable wasn't attached.Sevice light was reset a few weeks later by Atlantic. I resent the tire light and Bruce was seemingly not interested in the emergency brake cable. "We didn't work on that system."I tried to explain that the 1st time I drove the car, albeit a month after the clutch repair, I immediately knew the emergency brake wasn't right. VIP of Bath found the left emergency cable was disconnected and reconnected the cable at no charge.No big deal right? Wrong... We live on a stupidly steep driveway and got lucky this time. When a customer says... "Hey this was working when I brought in the car and now it doesn't" The response should be... "We didn't work on that but by all means let's take a look ASAP."My guess is when they took a looked at the rear brakes, which they sent us pictures of, the cable was somehow disconnected. Who knows... The odds it just fell off are exceedingly low.Finding a place to take your car, that you trust and has competitive pricing is a challenge, especially as of late. My suggestion is to start the process by making sure the owner of the shop is from Maine.Please no more texts. No more emails... We have had enough of Atlanta Motorcar for the rest of our lives.PS That was the most expensive brownie of my life... It was delicious .

After 3 attempts to fix my 2017 Audi Q3 with my regular mechanic, my check engine light was still on. It was so awful and worrisome. I was sick about it. My neighbor recommended I speak with Javier at Atlantic Motorcar Center ASAP.From Atlantic’s extensive and detailed inspection and diagnostics, they could see exactly what was going on.And they were able to show me images of the things that needed to be fixed. The online link to the inspection checklist was available for me to go through line by line. Multiple issues. A detailed estimate was shared with me, I approved the estimate, and the work was done.When I went to pick up the car, they even showed me pics of what they found when they opened up the intake manifold so I could see for myself.My car is now running like a dream and I am so grateful and fortunate to have found AMC!I got my baby back!I have never experienced customer service like this from any dealership or privately owned service center in my life, and I have owned 3 BMWs as well as this Audi. Service above and beyond!Thank you Javi, Bruce and crew!Very, very happy!

Very disappointed with service. Purchased a Volvo with 60,000 miles on it in May 2023..(4 months ago). Brought it in for an oil change today and received a report the vehicle needs: suspension control arm, brake pads and rear rotors, four new tires, alignment to free up suspension.and ball joints... for a cost of $3600. They assured us at time of purchase that the car had been inspected by their service department. Apparently not. Spoke to owner and he said he did above what the state recommends for used cars. All smoke and mirrors behind a pretty facade. The state of Maine should follow CT and have a lemon law to protect the consumer.

5 stars from start to finish. All their work has been first rate. Bruce was willing to give advice before I was fully their customer, during a long distance pre-purchase inspection .They have been there for expected and unexpected repairs, and even an emergency. Great problem solving and communication. Clear billing. It is well worth the hour drive to get my olderPorsche serviced there.Services: Auto power window repair

We had a mishap with an oil change on our Porsche. Our issue was promptly handled, and the problem was thoroughly fixed.We were given a loaner car while ours was being repaired and they performed our yearly inspection at no charge. We will definitely use Atlantic Motorcar again.Service: Oil change

Can NOT say enough amazing things about Atlantic Motorcar. Land Rover Scarborough referred me to them when they didn’t have time to take a look at our 2017 Range Rover. We drive it from Texas to Maine (every year) and suddenly it started making a hum a week before we need to drive it back. Despite Atlantic Motorcars own 3 week backlog, Erik was willing to go for a drive with us to at least listen and help us determine if it was a serious issue or driveable back to Texas. Thanks to him we have a huge sense of relief. It’s a wheel bearing that’s starting to go - something we can address when we get there. So thankful for the shops kindness and willingness to do a road test. We’ve only ever had our Rover serviced by Land Rover, but we wouldn’t hesitate to get service at Atlantic. Thanks Erik!!

Call these guys first! Finding a place in Maine that not only works on Mercedes, but really knows and cares about them was an eye opener to me. I was a referred to them by a trusted colleague at work who is huge car guy, and so happy I called. Not only did the Mercedes dealer's price high, but they did not return calls when I tried to schedule the recommended work.At my previous service dealer had most indifferent service not having a new car, where I was just a number, not even a name. The guys at Atlantic Motorcar listened to what I had to say, listened to my concerns, and even listened to my hope that the long term problems would finally be resolved. They took to the time to properly check and determine the problems and areas which needed attention. And they put in a list of needed now, and things for the next appointment, never had experienced that before, it was refreshing.The entire car was re-evaluated, I was went a report with photos and details, easy for me to read. Less work than had been recommended by the dealer was determined to be urgent (allowing me to spread the costs over time), and the quote was for an amount considerably less than the dealer's had been. They told me that they had the same diagnostic and programing equipment as the dealer, and I believe them. Wow, their shop is immaculate, clean, white and bright, made me know that my car was going to be clean when finished. In fact they washed it! George the young man hand washed it.The work was done on time and I have no complaints about the quality. The car was ready for pick up and had been washed! I was treated well by Bruce (the owner), and appreciated that they had a loaner car, which was free, for me to use during the work process. Fixed right, warning lights off, no more clunking noise, I was very pleased. I think they found a customer for life, or at least as long as I own German cars. Wish they worked on boats!

I have a 2001 SLK 320, 80k original miles. The car is in beautiful condition. In June I was driving home from Bangor and speedometer wasn’t working, brake, ABS, ESP, check engine light and wheel sensor light came on. I stopped at Carmel Rd exit and the roof wouldn’t go up. I continued home to Jefferson. The next day my husband called you guys to see if maybe you would take a look. He was told “it’s likely to cost as much as $4,000 and I’m not sure you would want to put that much into that vintage of a car”. I knew this was probably the best and only place I could bring my car for a quality and complete repair. I think it should my decision if I want to dump that much into my vintage Benz. That was an extremely frustrating response to my husband and now I’m having to find another alternative. My former boss has purchased and had repairs to a few vehicles over the years from you and recommended your shop. Even my son who’s worked for another auto repair store for years recommended Atlantic because his shop didn’t have the scan tools sufficient to diagnose Mercedes errors.Thank you for your quick response. We know Lincoln County very well as we both grew up here. My husband indeed called your location. I’m sure your customer service is top notch and would have experienced that had we not been discouraged and actually brought the car in to at least be looked at for an opinion. We have found another service, but in the event he doesn’t work out, I would likely call Atlantic.
