“I loved visiting this store in Freeport! There are 5 different Abacus locations and this one is probably my favorite. It's a wonderful store to find unique gifts and home decor at a reasonable price. The employees at this location are very kind and helpful. They knew a lot about the items in the store and anything they were unsure of they found more information for me. The building itself is beautifully designed and a staple of Freeport history. My only concern was that my older mother had a difficult time getting up the large concrete stairs because there's no handicap-friendly entrance. However, our experience inside Abacus was wonderful. We will be back closer to Christmas time to stock up for Christmas!”

“Excellent gallery space, very well laid out, good lighting to see the art at its best, and it was quiet! (Apparently the internet was down so they couldn't play any music - good thing!) Personally, I would prefer to explore the art without the hindrance of music as it allows you to imagine your own that suits the art. It featured local Maine artists of varying stylistic persuasion and skill. Very enjoyable!”
“A very nice gallery with new and emerging artists from the region. What a nice surprise. Suggested by a local who new great places to go to see art. Highly recommend a visit and after exploring the gallery, head off into the up and coming surrounding neighborhood for a beverage, a bite or shopping. A trendy area about to pop.”
“I had an opportunity to work, personally with TJ and Elizabeth. I was looking for a very niche piece with very short notice. After speaking with Elizabeth, she was able to actually customize and rework an existing design of hers to suit my needs and have it ready for me in within about 48 hours. The piece came out beautifully and will surely be loved by its recipient. She also had been gracious enough to provide a very fair estimate but still even came in under the agreed price. TJ, at the store was extremely kind and friendly and even helped me further by providing me a display style jewelry box. I can not speak more highly of their quality, service and the wonderful items in the store itself. I can’t wait to go back to shop and possibly work with Elizabeth Prior again as she is a highly talented and skilled artist. Thank you!!”
