Altonan IGA always has very helpful and friendly staff that are happy to help you find what you need. Not to mention, they ALWAYS have what you need and at very competitive prices too!
(They're also good people to work for as well 😉)

It used to be better
The produce all looked great and everything was full, but the front end staff have gotten terrible. They were eating and drinking at customer service, my cashier didn’t smile and smacked her scanner roughly when it didn’t work. When we left, one of the cashiers was in Rexall, talking to one of his friends that worked there (and I know that because I’ve seen them around town hanging out).

This IGA location is looking a bit run down and could use a cosmetic makeover. Especially since there is a nice new coop food store only 5 min away.

We are from out of town, and will pick up a few items that are exclusive to IGA. But your prices are much higher than most other groceries stores. Store is clean, and well stocked, but just to rich for our blood. Can buy at home substantially cheaper. People would find it worth the drive to a neighboring town for the amount of money they would save on their monthly grocery budget.
