“The Home Hotel was a charming, friendly, welcoming stop in a small town with the biggest heart on the prairies. My spouse and I stayed here overnight. The price was fantastic and the location is beautiful. You get a gorgeous view of the Prairies right outside your room (past the equally gorgeous stone church on the corner), and the street is quiet. The hotel looks a little run-down on the outside (the perils of small-town Manitoba), but the rooms are in perfect condition and immensely comfortable. All amenities were in working order and everything was immaculately clean. The desk attendant was friendly and gave us plenty of information even though we checked in late. It was quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
Rooms: The rooms are small but well-appointed. We had two queen beds, a dresser, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a basket of amenities, a working AC unit, and a cute little chair. The bathroom was in excellent condition and had ample (very fluffy) towels.
Walkability: Everything in Boissevain is walkable. You can walk across the whole town in thirty minutes flat. ;) That said, the Home Hotel is a five-minute walk to the best little café on the Prairies, the Sawmill. Cinnamon buns to DIE for.”
