About Beautiful Plains Museum
Now open for the 2026 summer season! Step back in time by taking a tour through Neepawa, and surrounding areas, Beautiful Plains Museum. Established in 1976, then relocated from Viscount School to the CNR Station. This Heritage Railway Station was built 1902 and has been home to the museum since 1981. Throughout the three floors of the station you will see a general store, medical hall, log cabin, clothing display and much more. The cutest little museum. The people are so friendly. It is lay'd out nicely with lots of information about items and history in each room. Definitely check.it out if your coming by Neepewa.

This museum is a treasure trove of history. It is well organized and displayed and packed full of meaningful information and treasures from the long and interesting history of this city. Rainy, the summer curator, was exceptional in helping us discover our family connections. I strongly recommend a visit here.

Our family heritage is from neepewa. Its a wonderful place to see history from 1700s onward. Clothes medical nursing books cataloged furniture everything farming cooking social back through the years
