Spectacular course! A Manitoba gem and something you don’t get to play often if you live in Winnipeg but definitely worth the trip!

The course is beautiful. Staff is great. I’m not sure if this is how I should be rating it, but given the fact that there are other beautiful courses in the area, I will not be going back ever or maybe in a very long time. Over $100 for a round of golf (after tax) is ridiculous. Great course, but it’s not worth it

Absolutely beautiful course! The greens ran so pure and the entirety of the whole course was just so well maintained.

This course was beautiful, tee boxes, greens, and fairways were all maintained very well. However, we had significant problems with the Marshal and Pro in the shop. Throughout the round we were asked over 8 times to speed up our pace of play even though we were playing best ball, booked two tee times, and were playing twilight golf. We were told to skip holes and just play one shot for the group. I found this to be disrespectful as we had payed a lot of money to be there. We had travelled 5 hours to play this course and being harassed by the Marshall constantly severely affected our experience. If the Marshall would have stayed out of the way we would have finished the round must faster, instead he felt the need to talk to us numerous time eating away even more time. We finished the round in 4.5 hrs and even caught up to the groups in front of us.Overall, if you have a two sum of golfers who are experienced you should have no problems. If you are golfing in a group I would avoid this course as the Marshals and Pro are very pushy. Beginners stay away.

Very nice golf course but rates are extreme. You can golf for half the price at poplar ridge.

Had a great day, course was in great shape and very beautiful. Pro shop was courteous, bar cart kept coming around. Finished our day in Nine (the restaurant at the course) appetizer was fantastic (Tuna on rice bites), had the fish and chips which was also very good. Awesome service.

Gorgeous views on this pristine course. The rolling hills were an added challenge that we enjoyed. Played in September on a warm fall day. Will be adding this course to the annual golf course list. Can't wait to return!

Matt was very helpful changing our Tee time and setting us up for a great round. The scenery was amazing and the course was in tip top shape.

What an amazing course. Have played this course on and off through the years and always astonished at how challenging and beautiful this is. The staff was wonderful, from the tee shop attendant letting us know the greens have been recently sanded to the starter giving us advice on our first shots. The cart girls we’re pleasant to deal with and we never went more than 3-4 holes without seeing one. Make sure you grab a breakfast sandwich at the turn, real egg, slice of proper cheese, thick sausage, and a piping hot English muffin.I would love to learn more about the history of the course as I’ve heard different stories of Stanley Thompson’s involvement in course design.Pro-tip, most of the greens break towards the water!

The course itself is absolutely astonishing, one of the nicest in Manitoba. My problem with the course is within the pretentious staff they have running it. For a golf course in one of the biggest tourist attractions Manitoba has to offer you’d think they would have a clue about what to do about solo’s booking. Instead they don’t allow you to book reservations and make you come down to the pro shop only to try and shame you for not booking one. The marshalls are absolutely horrendous, I’ve never met a group of individuals who power tripped and couldn’t do their job as much as the Clear Lake staff. It’s a shame such a gorgeous course is run by these guys, I would’ve loved to say this was the best course I’ve been too but you’re better off going to Poplar Ridge where the staff is amazing and where you won’t pay 100$ for some codger to tell you that a solo can’t book a tee time.
