Canadian Tire is a sizeable retail store in the city, offering a wide selection of products across various departments. While the atmosphere can sometimes feel a bit cold when it comes to staff assistance, the garden center is often praised for its excellent service. The automotive department has been described as "awesome" in helping customers, and the staff have been commended for their helpfulness, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile to find solutions.
The store layout can feel a bit cramped in certain areas due to the placement of shelving units, which may pose challenges for larger-than-average customers. However, the overall shopping experience is generally positive, with customers appreciating the variety of products available and the efforts of the staff to provide a satisfactory service.
My car broke down on a Sunday, and was towed to Canadian Tire in Portage. Although their repair shop was closed that day, Tyler and his staff had a quick look at the potential problem, ensured parts were available in store, and accommodated my repair the following morning. Much appreciated!
