Walmart in Thompson offers a mixed shopping experience. While it provides essential products to the community, many customers express disappointment with the store's inventory and service. The selection of vegetables and fruits is often limited, with some shoppers wishing for more variety. The children's section also requires better stocking, particularly for diapers and wipes suitable for kids with allergies. Customer service is described as robotic, with staff doing the bare minimum. Shoppers may find it challenging to locate items, and the bagging of purchases may not meet expectations. The store's location poses additional challenges, with carts requiring a loonie and some individuals loitering around asking for spare change. Despite these drawbacks, many recognize the necessity of having Walmart in Thompson, given the limited shopping options in the area. Quality concerns are noted, particularly regarding food items and their expiration dates. Overall, customers recommend setting low expectations for a shopping visit, with the hope of being pleasantly surprised.

Good store, good employees, but one time when me and my friend were just hanging around in WM, we kept laughing around and having fun until a employee saw us and thought of us suspicious, he kept following us around and almost in the woman’s bathroom.
