If there was a rating of 0/5, I would give it. The installers installed very dented and scratched mdf trim on August 10, 2023. There were cracks in the window panes on installation and Accurate Dorwin said they would be replaced at no charge, but to this day they have not replaced them. They also don't reply to emails. It also took 9 months for them to order and install the windows. I placed an order in December 2022. So now we're out of a couple thousand dollars, with no compensation and cracked windows. Never go with accurate dorwin as a window supplier or installer.

Steer clear. Can't speak to their competency as I only had window operators replaced, but they only tried to charge me in September for a job done in May. Apparently their man got my card info wrong. Cleared it up, thought that was the end of it. Wrong. Heard back today, they still managed to mess up charging me. Had to deal with them again, ended up charged 5 MONTHS LATE. Super unprofessional. Do not trust them.

If you're a residential customer looking for doors, DO NOT CHOOSE ACCURATE DORWIN.We ordered exterior doors March 2022 with an estimated 20 week production time, assured that we would have the new doors installed in September. As Sept approached, we contacted them to get a status update, to find that our sales person was no longer with the company. We were directed to someone else who, several weeks after saying they'd look into our order, also ceased working with them. After numerous phone messages and emails to various people in the company over the subsequent months, it became clear that we were being ghosted. No one returned our messages, to the point where we finally disputed the deposit charge with our credit card company in November and got our money back for unfulfilled services. Not sure what has happened to them as previously had no issues with their service but now they're a complete sham. Have never been so poorly treated by a company. Do not trust with your money. For all the time we've wasted and the hassle caused, would give zero stars if I could.

Around mid-November, 2021 my wife and I signed a contract with Accurate Dorwin/Polar Windows to install windows throughout our house (approx. 43 windows total). There had been some build up to this, as Accurate Dorwin/Polar had originally screwed up on our estimate and I complained, resulting in them (VP Jeff) offering a lower price on the project. In late April, 2022 we had the windows installed (over a period of about 2 weeks, as we had some windows from Accurate Dorwin, and some from Polar). After the installation, it became clear that (among other quality issues) there was a full window for our kitchen missing from the install. After a number of back-and-forths and reviews of the contracts we were told in May, 2022 that the window had been missed by Accurate Dorwin/Polar but that it had been put back in queue for production. We then paid the amount owing on the contract for the windows that had been installed. Over the course of the entire summer of 2022 (May to Sept) we kept in constant contact with our sales rep (Greg) inquiring about the missing window. We were repeatedly told it was "in production". During that time we also required multiple visits from the company to fix poor installation of the existing windows (to-date, not all poor installation issues have been addressed). In Sept, 2022 our sale rep Greg informed us he was leaving the company. We still had not received our missing window. We contacted the VP Jeff to complain. Jeff informed us that they had NO RECORD of our window in production. We were understandably angry and Jeff assured us he would put the window into production and we would have it installed by late Oct, 2022. In mid Nov, 2022 I contacted Jeff as we had still not had any contact from them re: the missing window. I said if the issue wasn't resolved immediately I'd be pursuing other avenues. He has never responded back. Do not use this company. They don't value your time or your money.

Installation was bad even though they assured me a 30 year plus man did the install. No insulation and window leaked destroying the wall under window. window quality was good but do not have them do install!

Very poor service been almost a year telling me the door is on order, never call back or even respond. Now filing a complaint with Hydro, BBB and court on the way. I would never suggest this company to anyone.

The worst service I've ever experience from a Window company by far. Do yourself a favor and skip these guys.

Poor & sluggish service from people who aren't keen to help.Estimate done May of 2022 for a broken window. After a month I struggled weekly to even have a phone call returned with an update.August 24th I got in touch with someone who seemed to have some authority. They informed me the material had not even been ordered for the job.Going someplace else.

I had a kitchen window installed on December 23, 2021. It was a rather cold day, so the installer told me that he could not paint the trim and they would be back in the spring. Since then I have been patiently trying to get through to their service people to find out when they would coming out to finish the job. After many emails, I was told today by sales that it is not their policy to paint window jams. Caveat Emptor people. Buyer beware. Now I am stuck having to paint them myself, which means hiring a painter as I can no longer climb a ladder at 68 years old with two artificial knees.

Accurate Dorwin customer service is the absolute worst. We had two doors installed by them in January 2020, two weeks later the locks and mechanisms froze up. Since then, any time the temperature drops below -25C ,there has been problems with the locks freezing up. Initially they sent out service persons twice. Now 2 years later there is still a problem with them freezing, also the mechanisims are now seizing up now even in warm weather, but Accurate Dorwin is not responding to calls for service, ( i.e.they say, we will call you back, manager is in a meeting will inform him and so on ands on! ) There is a five year warranty on this product but accurate dorwin is not honouring. We had planned on buying new patio doors, we will NOT be buying them from accurate dorwin Michael E.

We purchased fiberglass casement and picture windows from Accurate Dorwin in 2017 for our home remodel and are having serious issues with the windows after just 4 years. The windows are marketed to last a lifetime and they already need replaced. The casement windows are nearly impossible to crank open because the sashes are not sized correctly. We cleaned the tracks and sprayed them with silicone spray just to make it slightly manageable. The worst issue that is impossible to fix is the paint is loaded with specs of debris and it has color mismatches. If you look at the picture in my review you can see how much debris is in their paint finish which is abysmal for a "factory applied finish." I am pretty certain we have color mismatches between different components because they used up old scraps from previous jobs and just painted over the top of them. So some parts were painted with a white raw fiberglass base and other parts that were reused from old jobs have a base color like grey or tan. It is very noticeable when when you look at it from more than 20 feet away and the sun is shining. There is no way to fix these issues except to repaint the windows which would be a month long process removing sashes, weatherstrip, dried silicone and masking over the glass and our house. We are now just trying to get our money refunded so we can purchase new windows elsewhere.

I needed a part to repair a window they installed 27 years ago. It took one phone call and two emails with pictures to show what I needed, all in a span of 45 minutes, for them to have the parts at the front desk for me to pick up. That's the most amazing customer service I've experienced in a long time!!!

Contacted these guys several times since installation of window by one of their professionals. Windows were placed into our Passive Haus build. We contacted them via email through their website. Windows were installed in 2015, and immediately we noticed issues with several of the windows with trim coming off and cracks. No response from the company. We contacted them again in 2018, 2019 and 2020, due to seals gone and frames cracked. No response what so ever from them. We spent $40k plus tax. on the total package.I would not recommend them, terrible customer service, poor quality window construction and the draft proofing on the sliding french doors is terrible. I recommend looking else where.Read the better business rating review of this company to get the full low down. If you just bought their windows, good luck, will be interesting to see what happens in the next 5 years, don't expect much and expect zero customer service. If anyone else here has had issues and is interested in joint legal action please get in contact with me.Companies like this need to be brought to task.

My husband and I bought your custom sized triple pane fiberglass windows and doors in 2011 for the home my husband was building us as an experienced contractor with over thirty years in the trade. We were grateful for Accurate Dorwin windows and doors because they manufactured custom sizes, they had excellent initial customer service, and we observed the products to be of good quality when received compared to what was available in the U.S. at that time.We noticed within the first year that the doors and some of the casement windows started to sag making them difficult to close and in one window the sagging resulted in chipping the paint and the fiberglass where it rubs the lower hardware. We have to keep this window closed. We contacted Accurate Dorwin in 2012. They responded by telling us to adjust the windows using a specific tool they provided. After reading the instructions and watching videos, we made the adjustments, but it was not enough to fix the problem. The doors sagged so that two of the three deadbolts would not engage. My husband has over thirty years of installing doors. He provided photos and measurements to help Accurate Dorwin understand the situation so they could appropriately respond and offer solutions. They said they had no representatives or technicians in the area that could help.In 2015, we finally sent Accurate Dorwin a letter regarding our disappointment with their product and their customer service, especially as it pertained to the doors. All three doors sealed tight from the latch down but left a gap at the top of the door between the door and the gasket. We intentionally built a small super insulated passive solar house. It was very frustrating to see snow falling in the winter through the gap. What was and is additionally frustrating is that unlike many brands in the U.S., Accurate Dorwin door hinges are not adjustable. As a result of sending the letter we received periodic communication from Accurate Dorwin technicians and customer service notifying us that they were considering the issue. In 2018, we noticed the outer trim of one glass door was cracked and separating from the door. Accurate Dorwin is no longer made of fiberglass because of the issue we experienced. Our last communication from Accurate Dorwin was in 2018 when they said they would send us a weep hole cover as requested and were scheduling a technician to assess the doors. However, we have received no further communication from them and no technician. Finally in 2020 we decided to share our story on social media and with other builders to ensure that anyone considering Accurate Dorwin products in the U.S. will think twice. You will not receive adequate customer service if there are any issues with their products following installation.
