Last week I shopped there for the first time in years just to buy jeans for work. It was slower and there weren’t many customers in the store. One of the employees, Chanel was in a group of other staff and were talking badly about people that they knew. It was super awkward to shop in that environment so I went to try on somethings to kill time and hopefully the conversation would be over by the time I was done in the change rooms, but it wasn’t. I tried to kill more time by browsing and then eventually went to the till and Chanel came 5ish minutes after to check me out. I am 20 and have not shopped there since my early high school years, but it made me feel like I was right back in high school with the things the staff was saying about other people. If I didn’t need the jeans for work then I would have just left.
