Since I found out about this auto body shop through Google Maps, I think it's important to leave a review here to warn others.
I contacted Gateway Autobody about replacing my windshield after it was vandalized. At our first meeting, I provided a letter from MPI stating that the deductible did not apply. However, they ignored this information, and I had to remind them again — but that's not the biggest problem.
When I came to pick up my car, I immediately noticed several serious flaws. First, they installed a non-original Hyundai windshield, which no one warned me about. Second, the glass was installed extremely unprofessionally: two GARNISH ASSY-DELTA parts located to the left and right of the windshield were not in place, and on the right side, the rubber seal that prevents dirt from getting under the frame was damaged.
When I pointed this out, I was told that “this damage was there before the repair” and asked to prove otherwise with photographs. In other words, customers are advised to take photos and videos of their cars in advance, otherwise they will simply be told that “that's how it was.”
The first solution offered by the service was to contact their subcontractor directly, because they were the ones who allegedly did the work. It turns out that Gateway Autobody employees do not even check the quality of work done by third-party specialists before returning the car to the owner, but at the same time they are eager to get your signature for payment from MPI as quickly as possible.
The most unpleasant thing is that after receiving the car, I discovered optical distortions in the structure of the new glass right in the driver's field of vision. There is a lens effect, and after just two hours of driving, I started to get headaches.
I don't know how this situation will be resolved, but at the moment I can say one thing: I strongly advise against using this car service. They do not value your time, your property, or the quality of their work.

Fast, friendly and thorough! I love taking my car to Gateway Autobody whenever I have had an accident. The damage estimate takes a bit of time but they look into everything to make sure that you are not left with a deficiency in the end. The damage estimator I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable. There's great communication throughout so you know what's happening and when. I love that you can get your rental car right there at their shop - AND they also sell Autopac insurance for your rental so none of this $35 a day business! Just a heads up on that rental...if you have lots of driving to do while you have the rental, it's a maximum of 150 kms a day with a surcharge if you go over. The women in the front office are welcoming, kind and reassuring. All in all, another great experience with Gateway Autobody!

Brought our vehicle in for an MPI claim. They were amazing at communication, clear on the assessment and very accommodating for start date. The estimated time was spot on and I got it back mid-day on the last day. Work was amazing and they washed and detailed the inside of my vehicle as well. Highly recommend.

Professional service at its finest. Great communication before and during vehicle being repaired at Gateway Autobodys shop. They hold themselves to a very high detail orientated standard. Vehicle looked amazing when I got it back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a repair shop.
